I had debated for weeks about buying the Adidas Busenitz or the Sambas. After getting some early Christmas cash I bought both! The Busenitz are more padded and comfortable but the Sambas are very well made and you can feel the quality and are so very uniquely stylish ... and at a great price! They are comfortable but I probably wouldn't walk all day at a theme park in them. They are mostly genuine leather uppers with some genuine suede. SIZING ... ignore everyone else's comments and read mine ... ha! Truthfully, they are a very narrow shoe ... yet as far as length goes, they are true to size. My Busenitz run a little wide so I wear my typical size 12. Only because my foot is a little wide amd the Samba's are so narrow, I took the advice of many (and Adidas) and sized up 1/2 size and got a 12.5 ... and have a perfect fit! BUT ... IF you have an average width foot or a narrow foot ... no need to size up at all ... I promise! OK, for my final comment and it's a little subjective ... these probably will be more popular with women. They aren't necessarily a feminine looking shoe ... but they definitely aren't masculine. Ahhhh, the good 'ol days! Man, I used to wear these Samba's every day for years, back in High School and after. My last pair I literally wore until there were holes in the soles. I love how these conform to my feet and feel very sturdy and agile and have great traction. I got them to just wear around town casually, but I could definitely play indoor soccer with them too. They aren't as comfortable as a pair of Samba 'K's that I had, the one's made with real kangaroo leather supposedly, but as far as I can tell you can't find those anymore--I guess they don't make them. I looked online for a pair of those but there are very few you can find, and people are selling them for hundreds and even over a thousand dollars, so these 'OG's will have to do! The last pair I had were the Samba 'Classic' version, and I went with this 'OG' version this time with the blue design on the tongue and they feel perhaps sturdier than the 'Classics'. ... show more

Ordered a size 5.5 as it claims it converts to an US women’s 6.5 but it was much too big on my feet! Reordered a size 5 (which arrived a few days late from expected delivery date due to weather delays apparently) but came in great condition. Very stylish and comfortable! It did not come in the official blue adidas box btw—and if that’s something you’re looking for, my first pair shipped with it but it was smushed and damaged. With the reviews I’ve read on here, it seems like the smushed adidas box is the same experience for many others. ... show more

The Samba shoe is so hard to find so I did pay more from a 3rd party seller to get them. They were supposed to arrive in 4 days but they got to me in 2 days! They are comfortable out of the box , no break in period. Really cute with jeans. I’m 62. A nice change from plain white sneakers. I’m completely happy but wanted to advise on sizing. I’m a women’s 7 occasionally a 7.5. I ordered size 6 which was recommended. I’m happy with the 6 but I might have fit the 5.5 . They are long and rather narrow. I have a narrow to medium width so no issue with the width for me. I agree with other reviewers who said women should size down 1 to 1.5 sizes for this shoe. Probable just 1 size down if your foot is wider. ... show more

I had worn my last pair of Sambas literally thru the sole, holes & all (thought I'd spare you the gross, run down pics of the old pair HA)! When I finally gave in & NEEDED a new pair though, this seller had a discount at the time, making it completely worth while to just click & buy on the spot! I know my exact SZ (8.5) & since the price dropped even further a week later, i decided to spring for a SECOND pair! Not only a second pair for myself BUT my husband was long since past due for a new pair himself, so I tossed a third pair in for him & voila! Total score! They arrived REALLY quick AND since my husband has incredibly wide feet (like I'm talkin' EE wide!), I wasn't sure what size to pick for him, so I just guessed & went with a full size larger than he usually wears. Thankfully, they fit PERFECTLY! Since they are new leather, they are snug & in the past he'd always had second hand or hand me down Sambas so I was glad this brand new pair fit so well! (By the way, there's been tons of speculation from reviewers/customers that bought these sneakers, thinking these are knock offs & unfortunately, after researching adidas on their actual site, adidas.com & the change in Sambas, the difference is on THEIR end, not this sellers! They have chosen to cut corners/cost & use alternative materials so they don't look like the older school versions [which is a shame & obviously we all prefer the older version because they are so much more polished & fine detailed], making them not AS GREAT as they were but not terrible!
