We purchased this for our shower remodel. We had previously used standard grab bars that were stainless but very plain. Think store bathroom. This bar is much more refined in the attachment point covers and overall look. It also has a softer grip material on the back side to insure a firm no-slip grip with soapy hands. We mounted ours on a 40 degree down angle toward the back of the shower where we have a shower bench. This makes it much easier to use to assist in standing up and is also a safety feature in that if a fall were to occur, one does not have to reach up very high to grab the bar. We are very pleased and plan on using this again in our other two remodels. ... show more
