Press each suction cup firmly If suction cups were compressed during shipping, simply soak the mat in warm water for a few minutes to restore flexibility. Is this mat defective if it doesn't stay in place? In most cases, this is related to surface compatibility or installation method, not a product defect. It slides a bit in the shower for a while if you’re not mindful but it’s easy to clean and went well when I bathed my cat. It’s not too thick either which has been an issue I have with these in the past. Easy to clean I can pull it up and put it back easily.
