As the proud dad of two spirited Maltese boys, Max and Toby, finding the right food for them has always been a bit of a mission. They’re small, picky eaters with sensitive tummies, so not every dog food makes the cut. Enter CESAR Small Breed Adult Dry Dog Food in the Filet Mignon Flavor with Spring Vegetables Garnish—and suddenly, mealtime has become their favorite part of the day. First Impressions Opening the bag, I could tell this wasn’t your average dog kibble. The aroma was surprisingly fresh and appetizing (for dog food), and the small, bite-sized kibble was perfect for my little guys. The filet mignon flavor with hints of vegetables looked thoughtfully crafted, and I could already tell it would be easy for their tiny mouths to handle. Max and Toby’s Reaction Both of my boys have very different personalities. Max is the energetic go-getter who dives into his food headfirst, while Toby is more cautious and likes to inspect before he eats. With this kibble, both of them were hooked right away. Max polished his bowl in record time, and even Toby, my picky little prince, couldn’t resist. Watching them eagerly wag their tails during meals melted my heart. The media could not be loaded. I've been giving my little Bichon frise, Cesar small dog food, and honestly, it's been quite an experience tailored to his tiny preferences! From the moment I open a tray or pour the kibble, the color is consistently appealing – whether it's the rich, meaty look of the wet food or the varied browns of the dry kibble. It doesn't look bland or artificial, which is a good sign for me. When it comes to chewability, it's excellent for a small dog. The kibble pieces are perfectly sized – tiny and not too hard, so he doesn't struggle to crunch them. This is crucial because I worry about him choking or not being able to manage larger pieces. My dog is super picky, and with Cesar, he absolutely devours it. He gets so excited when he sees the tray! I'm satisfied for my dog's needs. While I know it's it does list real meat as a primary ingredient in most of their recipes, which is important to me. As for digestibility, this is where Cesar truly shines for my dog. He has a sensitive stomach sometimes, but I've noticed very consistent results with Cesar. His stools are firm, and he doesn't experience any upset tummy or excessive gas after eating it. I switched my little pup to Cesar Small Breed dry food and it’s been a hit. The kibble pieces are the perfect size for tiny teeth, and she crunches through them happily — no hesitation, no picky-dog drama. She seems to really enjoy the flavor (judging by the bowl-licking and “is that all?” face she gives me afterward). I’ve noticed her coat looking shiny and she’s staying energetic and playful, so it’s clearly working well for her. Also love that it doesn't have that super strong dog-food smell — makes storage and feeding a little nicer for me too. My only small gripe is the price — you can go through a bag quicker than expected with small breeds who think they're big eaters. Doggo liked it. He's old and suddenly very picky about food. He doesn't like cheap stuff so I consider this the "fancy food". He went from letting kibble sit untouched for 24 hours to cleaning his plate in less than a minute. It even smells a little better if that makes sense.
