First, the shipping of this item was amazing! Drop shipped from the manufacturer in 24 hours. Assembly was intuitive although the instructions were a little hard to read. They provide the tools you need, but I substituted a nut driver and a regular phillips screwdriver to make things easier. The chair appears to be very sturdy, yet lightweight and easy to move if we need the tub for others to use. Would definitely buy again.

Directions for assembling could be better. It's sturdy and serves the purpose. For me, I removed the outside handle of the chair, because easier for me, to sit and then turn into position due to leg surgery. I've had it for almost 4 months and very pleased. I'm 6'3" 260 lbs and it feels very stable and secure. I would check the bolts every couple months, i had a couple get loose. I would say Great buy!!

Product appears durable. Package was missing two screws. Contacted seller They are shipping the two screws. Worked well for my tub that has minimal available space. Included all tools required for assembly but having a 10 mm wrench and regular Phillips screwdriver for assembly will make assembly much faster. They did include a wrench and Phillips, but having better tools will make assembly easier. Assembly is straight forward, takes about 30 minutes to assemble.. i docked one star on assembly due to missing bolts. I would make the same choice again , i understand missing parts sometimes happens. Bench seems durable, in spite of its light weight. Seat sections have drain holes for water.

I am grateful that this shower bench was only a temporary necessity for me. I broke my leg and needed this for the non-weight bearing part of my recovery. It was quite easy to assemble- not a quick assembly, but reasonable. It has been great and has not stained or shown signs of rust as far as the hardware is concerned. I would be comfortable purchasing this shower bench even for longer term needs. The one I purchased is gray and it can be assembled for left or right side tub/shower faucets. It was pretty easy to cut a cheap plastic shower curtain to accommodate this shower bench.

Recently purchased this for my mother who had a stroke and needs it for getting into and out of the bathtub so she can shower safely. Not only did I waste hours of my time trying to decipher the confusing instruction manual, but when the final product was put together it provided NO support for my mother and she almost fell. Thankfully I was there to help her when she tested it but I worry for people who are living alone. I can't stress this enough: this is not a product to buy if you are handicapped and needing it. This product NEEDS ASSEMBLY from someone able bodied with tools and the patience to piece it together. To give you an idea of how horrible the assembly was, if you tightened anything even the slightest bit then the parts on the chair would not fit. You had to get all of the screws and washers in the right place to tighten them all together, which sounds easy enough to figure out and do at first. However, because they had to be loose they continued to fall out, washers would disappear into the holes on the chair, and it was a headache I do not wish upon my worst enemy. The parts included do not match the instruction booklet as well. The back support of the chair didn't even have holes for the screws- I had to use an ice pick to make holes big enough for it to attach. And even then the screws were not long enough to provide any back support. I wish I could donate this chair to someone who needs one because I don't think I am able to get my money back, but I can't in good conscience for fear of some elderly or disabled person getting hurt when trying to use it. I am instead going to stress how awful of an experience this was for me and my mother to try and warn potential buyers away. There are better, easier to assemble transfer chairs available, and picking this cheaper option will only be a waste your time and money.

Not the easiest to assemble but doable with 2nd person to support a piece or two. Did not include right screws to secure back (part14). Another video review demos problem. Customer support easy to reach by phone and submitted claim. Will see if they can resolve and update. Definitely usable without the screws, just can’t move it holding onto the back rest. UPDATE: company sent another full bag of the same hardware. Didn’t solve the problem. Works fine as long as you carry it from the bench only
