As I have aged, now 83, I find that I need to make buy and install physical aids to make my life safer. These bars were installed in my two bathrooms in their showers and next to the toilets. They work exactly as expected and look good too. As with all Delta products, the quality is excellent.

This is a very nice looking grab bar and works well as a 16-inch towel rod. There is one REAL caveat here: The mounting screws look good but are TERRIBLE. They strip in a few seconds. Since these need to be installed into studs - because they are safety grab bars - the screws need to be capable of drilling into the studs. I have done hundreds of these things before, so I predrilled each hole as is standard practice leaving enough room for the screw threads to catch and before I got half way into the studs -- maybe five turns, EVERY screw stripped. Maybe because stainless steel is simply too soft for any type of real drilling. If you buy this product, toss the screws not matter how good you think they look and get your own screws! ... show more
