I wanted to update my review since I've been using this little broom 7 months now. I still love it as much as the day I got it. It still works great and I took a big chance by running this through my dishwasher on high heat and sanitizing rinse (I cleaned all hair/dust off before). It came out clean and still is my favorite I love this little broom....Its the little things in life I have a black and white cat that lays around all day while I'm at work and I know exactly where because after a 9 hour day, I come home to pat him, feed him, play with him, change his liter box and remove the hair from my white couch and bed...(I wouldn't have it any other way). I learned a trick awhile ago to use a small window squeegee to wipe hair off furniture and fabric, it definitely works but it's hard on my wrist. I was on Amazon to buy a new squeegee and came across this little hand broom. I've had this a few days and it works as good or better than my squeegee and lint brush. The bristles are very thin and stiff, they pull the hairs from the fabric, I also found using the end of the dustpan works well too! The dustpan has an edging on each side to swipe the bristles through to clean the hair from the brush. This is a great feature The broom and pan are very sleek and thin for easy storage. I just ordered a second to use on my large concrete kitchen island, and came across a larger floor sweeper and pan I'll have to try. I'm very happy with this broom, it's cut my hair clean up time down by 60%.... Which means more play time for Earl. I took a few pics to show how it rolls up the hair. I think this would also be good to get behind or in between furniture or for my dashboard because of the sleek design. Never thought I'd be this excited over a little broom, I really do like it. Earl gives it 2 paws up, he doesn't like laying in his own hair after grooming ' Update 4 months later- I came on to order another of these brooms, after 4 months of heavy use (I've boiled water to pour on this to clean it) it still works great. I'm buying a second because I was cleaning my pellet stove and this thing was great to get in there and sweep the corners and back of the stove. For obvious reason (white couch and black ash don't mix) this one will be kept with the stove, I keep one on my large kitchen island and one to clean up after Earl)

As a Dust pan this is really really awesome. I have been missing out it seems. The 2 largest problems i have with standard dust pans is 1. the "remainder" dust - or the dust that you keep trying to pick up but just gets turned into a slightly smaller line every time before you pull out the vacuum. 2. dirty brushes The bristles are very tight/straight and grab well. combined with the angle i have been able to completely pick up dust/silicone debris/saw dust/paint dust/grout/drywall dust/sugar from my tile and laminate. The old dustpans and brushes i was using would always leave that dreaded line of dust just under the lip of the pan and it was a struggle to get everything. Or 50% of the dust goes into the pan and the rest gets re-spread or tossed into the air. Usually in 2 sweeps max i can get everything into the dustpan with this. I also find it a lot easier to gather debris together. The ability to clean this brush with the pan works in a way that i have not used before and it is just great. When cleaning up remodeling debris like drywall dust that is sometimes damp or caulk/silicone that can still be sticky, the ability to clean the brush has worked well to not recirculate debris. This thing is very light/plastic. Some may call it cheap, we will see how well it last. I am worried that the latch that secures the brush to the pan will break. I am also unsure at this time how long the bristles will last although they seem like good quality and part of that might depend on if you push down too hard consistently. I could see them coming out with a Pro version or something in the future with better materials possibly, however the design/ergonomics are amazing. I don't normally sweep my carpet or furniture, so i can't speak to how well this would work for other jobs. I can tell you that if your spill sugar on your hard floors, you will have a lot easier time with this compared to other dustpans.

I am now using this miniWISP for just about EVERYTHING! I dusted ALL of my furniture with it, cleaned off window sills, my cat tree (picks up fur like a boss), my cat enjoys when I brush her back with it, I clean my make-up vanity with it after I am done applying make-up to keep it clean, clean up crumbs, small dry spills, dust off pictures and frames on the walls, clean off statues/decor, you name it! I could go on and on! I also have the standard size WISP broom and I clean EVERYTHING ELSE with that; to include ceilings, walls, baseboards, ceiling fans, floors... that list is a mile long too! You only need ONE hand to use this to sweep in a pulling motion. Do yourself a favor and at least go watch the videos on each of these (WISP & miniWISP) that WISP made to demonstrate these products. You'll see why they totally rock. If you don't like purple, they have red, blue and a dark gray that looks almost black, so don't let my purple one dissuade you! The price on these is extremely reasonable too! I know what I'll be getting a lot of lucky friends for gifts. Tthey'll love these because it cut my cleaning time in half and my house is truly spotless!!! JUST THE MOST AMAZING CLEANING TOOLS EVER! EVERY HOME NEEDS ONE OF EACH!!!

If I could improve this, I would make the dust pan a little deeper, because it's very shallow and you have need to be very cautious when sweeping into it. The mini Oxo one is better in that respect because it has covering on top to keep the dust from flying out. Also, I would like a hole so I can hang it up. But otherwise it cleans fine dust very well, and the scraper thing works as long as you scrape the brush vigorously into the trash. Don't try to scrape it into the dust pan itself or you are likely to drop everything into the floor. It's not quite as magical as the infomercial, but it is good quality and does work.
