I have been using my gm 1000 for 3-4 years and I wanted to get a P.I and I did lots of research and narrowed it down to the sdc, My friend has one and hes got a gpx 6000 and the sdc 2300 smokes the 6000 on the small gold in hot ground all day long, plus the 6000 gets way more ground noise and hot rocks. I get 3-4 grain pieces missed by the gold monster down around 5 inches deep in hot ground that my monster could not hear even on manual 10 setting. This detector is bad ass Goes great to clean out all your spots, a 2300 with a gm1000 good combo, highly advise this machine, awsome. ... show more

Minelabs warranty sign up is difficult. Must have taken 20 trys over two week for my information to be accepted.
