  • Sizing is good, but not right color for Navy Type iii/3
Color: Federal Tan (499) Size: X-Large
Navy husband has been wearing the Soffe brand for years under uniform. Really hate the Soffe brand but it’s easily available at NEX and is correct color. I’ve been looking for a different brand to replace the Soffes and found these UA tac shirts. Wanted to find a lightweight shirt since the Soffes are thick and tend to get hot underneath uniform, stain easily under arms. While the fit is good and fabric is fine and very lightweight, the “federal tan” is not close to the right color tan that we need for Navy uniform Type iii/3. I figured it might be a stretch for the color to be right but was worth a shot! We returned this shirt only because of the color. I will say the quality seems fine and exactly what I’m looking for. The UA federal tan is more of a taupe/grey/semi green color while the Soffe tan is a deeper brown tan color. (See my photo in natural light for reference.) Main purpose of submitting this review was to let other Navy folks know it's not quite the right color- decent quality shirt otherwise! For size reference, my husband is 6’8” and I bought an XL. He is normally a size XL Tall at UA but found that this shirt in XL fit fine as a regular XL. Please make this shirt in darker brown/tan for Navy type 3 uniform! I’d buy 10! ... show more

  • Less tactical and more tacticool
Color: Black (001)/Clear Size: X-Large
I really do like these shirts. They're long enough that they don't ride up when doing overhead work, and the collar is tighter to the neck so it doesn't look like you're in a fashion magazine showing off as much skin as possible. The only thing I don't like is the new version uses a much thinner material. For a "tactical" shirt, this means its less durable. I have some of the older ones and just picking them up together you can feel the diference. I imagine the intent was for better cooling, and I guess having holes all over your shirt from getting torn helps with keeping you cool! So, they're still great shirts, but be careful if you're wearing them without anything else over it. Might be tactical in design, but not in the material. ... show more

  • Great fit, unauthorized with the new Army OCP uniform
The UA tactical tech short sleeve is very comfortable and durable, like the other UA tech shirts, however, this "Army Brown" color (210) that UA designed to wear with the new Army multicam ocp is too dark and is substantially different from the authorized Tan499 color. I have several tactical tshirts in the sand color (290) for use with the old uniform and they are outstanding. I would like to continue to wear these in a color similar to the authorized Tan499. The coyote brown (220) color is very close to the Tan499 color and would be close enough to wear. If UA has not considered making this tshirt in the 220 color, I highly recommend it as I think their is a huge market that would be interested in purchasing these. I have attached a photo showing the UA Army Brown tee on the left and a Tan499 issued shirt on the right. ... show more

  • Great, comfortable, and lightweight workout shirt
Color: Dark Navy Blue (465)/Clear Size: X-Large
I've been using these shirts to workout for a few months now. They are lightweight, comfortable, don't absorb much sweat, and dry quickly. As far as fit is concerned, they do run a bit small depending on your build. If you have a large upper body, you'll likely need to go a size up. I originally wore a large, but ended up ordering an extra large as my shoulders were filling out the shirt a bit too much to be comfortable. If you don't have a large shoulder/chest area, the normal sizing should work just fine for you. ... show more

  • Horrible quality
Color: Black (001)/Clear Size: Large
I bought this shirt and another style Under Armour shirt and the quality is absolute abysmal. I wouldn't pay $5 for this junk, let alone $20. Both of the shirts are disappointing and far from the soft material Under Armour is known for. This stuff is like see-through itchy mesh. Even if you were okay with the quality dropping, this shirt is so uncomfortable it is unbearable. This product feels fake. I'm honestly mad that I wasted my money on this garbage. If all Under Armour has changed to this, I will never be buying again. ... show more

  • Big Fan, Stains Easily
Color: White (101)/White Size: Large
I love these shirts because they keep me cooler and don't get stretched out necks as easily as cotton. The only downside is the cost, but they last a long time, and also if you spill anything on it, it stains pretty easily. Definitely would buy again, though.

  • Good for work
Color: Black (001)/Clear Size: X-Large
I use these for work. I wear them under my vest and it helps a lot with the sweat during the summer. I'm 5`11, 215lb, with a decent athletic build. I got the XL, pre-wash it felt a little big but after one wash it fit perfect.

  • These shirts are AWESOME. Maybe at one time they were too thin and not strong enough but not anymore!
These shirts are AWESOME. Maybe at one time they were too thin and not strong enough but not anymore! They are still thin as they are meant to be thin and lightweight and they are very durable. They are great in the heat by having sweat wicking fabric design. Polyester can be designed many ways and can be horrible in the heat or if designed correctly within the fabric the polyester can be sweat wicking and cool and odor resistant which is exactly what these T-shirts are and do. I wear them in the SoCal heat and use them for hiking, off roading and working on 4x4 trucks. I beat them up and they hold up great. I own many of them! Enjoy! ... show more
