I’ve used various iterations of another brand’s equally expensive stick vacs for years. I recently decided to take a leap and try the Miele vac instead and I’m so glad I did! I love that the Miele has three configurations, one with the motor near the handle, one with the motor near the brush head, and one that is a handheld instead of a stick vac. If you use the configuration where the motor is near the brush head, you get much better balance than with that other brand. There are great videos on YouTube where you can see side by side comparisons of their pick-up power (the Miele wins). The battery power isn’t as long as they claim unless you’re on the eco setting. If you use the most powerful setting it runs out much faster. I think my favorite feature of the Miele is that with the motor near the brush head you can stand the vac up on its own when you’re not using it, instead of leaning it against the wall only to have it come crashing to the floor. I’m amazed what a big difference that one little feature makes. My only complaint is that I found emptying the dust bin counter-intuitive. Took me a while to figure out and I ended up dumping the contents of the bin on the floor they first time I removed it. The instructions don’t explain how to remove the bin and empty it, but once you figure it out it’s pretty easy. I think this vac is also quieter but no less powerful than its direct competitor. Love it.

I really wanted to believe this was going to be a good vacuum. After now months of using it I have to say please look somewhere else. Like I said, I really really really want to believe this is gonna be a good vacuum. The suction… Is not what they claim. They say it’s their most Suction improved vacuum yet… Yeah that’s not accurate. It barely picke up paper and plastic, and it gets clogged every time I use it so I end up having to take the canister off and unclog the channel that fills the canister… It doesn’t even make it into the canister. It just gets clogged with dog hair Throughout the neck and it’s so annoying. I end up needing to take the canister off and stuff a long flexible plastic stick through it to clean it. Would not recommend this vacuum. The other thing is that I’ve now had it for less than half a year. I bumped the side of the doorway And it broke like this and now it’s completely unusable. I would absolutely love my money back! Or replacement for the parts that absolutely “suck”. Ir do they blow? No neither they are iust bad. Do not buy this product and look somewhere else. I am so disappointed in this company. Actually after having two other males that were wonderful this cordless is just trash and I spent like $700 LOL

I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s definitely one of the better hand vacuums. It’s quiet but the suction is powerful. I like having the option to vacuum when my baby is napping. I like it’s ability to switch between the powered brush head from carpet to passive brush on hard surfaces. The build quality is stellar compared to the Dyson V6 I had. The ability for it to stand on its own may not seem all that much but it’s really convenient. Battery life is not bad since you get to choose the amount of power you want to use. The canister may be small but it’s really easy to empty. There is a feature where you can knock off the dust from the canister without using your fingers. If you have a large living space with lots of carpet, think about getting a canister or larger vacuum, but if you need something to perform a quick job this is a perfect choice. Overall a solid vacuum worth the money.

Warning, this is not the Miele that once was! I am a long-time Miele owner and will never buy a Miele product again. We bought this vacuum on Amazon at full price having loved our Miele canister vacuum purchased years ago. When it arrived, we discovered that this new vacuum was scratching our wood floors. The manual made note of a hardwood floor attachment, but there was no indication of whether it was included with the vacuum or was an optional purchase. Also, there was no mention about this attachment on Amazon. Searching the web, we found that it costs an additional $70. The fact that we paid $750 for a vacuum that is incapable of cleaning our very ordinary floors without damaging them is hard to believe. After my wife and I reread the manual numerous times to make sure that were were not missing anything, we called Miele’s customer service center. Right off the bat the representative told us they could not send us the hardwood care attachment. But we never asked for that and just wanted to speak to a supervisor to state that after being longtime Miele customers, we are returning the vacuum and are done with the company. The representative, while pleasant, told us that was not a sufficient reason to speak to a supervisor and would not transfer us to one. Also, the representative told us that the hardwood floor attachment was mentioned on its website. However, we bought it through Amazon and not that web site. We then emailed Miele, who five days later responded by telling us that our email highlighted areas for where the company could improve. That was appreciated, but what a waste of our time this purchase was. We are not willing to take a chance on Miele again. There are plenty of $300 vacuums that work great right out of the box.

We've had a Miele canister for years. Now we added the stick vacuum. Things to note: 1) We recharge it after every use instead of letting the battery get down to zero. Otherwise it won't make it through the second use. 2) We use the highest setting for wood floors and switch to the lowest setting for carpets. The vacuum automatically sense that the surface has changed, but even so, the high setting for carpets is too strong. 3) We placed the dust holder down towards the bottom. It is easier to maneuver and also stands upright in a closet. No need to hang it on a wall. 4) It takes a little practice to easily take the dust holder off, but after that--no issues. We do still use the canister vacuum to get behind furniture and other places with various attachments. All in all a quality-made product.
