The MagicPlate is a perfect solution for replacement plates for your MagicMount and MagicMount Pro phone mount for car. Use as replacements or additional plates for your Smartphone and other devices. The large magnet stickers are great for larger devices and help to ensure a secure hold with the car phone holder magnet. The small thin phone magnetic plates are perfect for smaller devices and tight spaces. Use the included swabs to prep surfaces to ensure a strong contact before applying the sticky pads. Install the phone magnet sticker behind your case/battery cover, on a rugged case, or directly to your device. The protective film goes between your device and the metal plate and allows for easy mounting and removal of the plates without damaging your cell phone. I just got an S23 Ultra with an Otterbox Defender case. I LOVE the durability of these cases but LOATHE the big bulky stupid rotating clip, so... I broke it off and used my Dremel to grind down the remaining "clip bits" which left an ugly "scar" on the case. I use magnet mounts anyway, but normal sized backing plates wouldn't cover the Dremel mess, and so I went searching for an XL plate.... found this one FINALLY.... and of course it's Scosche. Fits the case PERFECTLY. Covers the Dremel mess PERFECTLY. I put the second plate on the actual phone case... and now I have a clipless sleek hard cover for my phone and a magnet plate on BOTH the cover and the phone and I'm in L.O.V.E. with this whole situation. ... show more

These magnets (gold) were beautiful and they are quite strong for their size. DO make sure you follow the directions, though, on placement or there’s a much higher chance of your phone (or whatever you attached it to) being detached when jostled.

I had to buy this since I got a new case for my phone. As other reviews have said, the new large replacement plate is smaller than the original large plate that came with the holder. However, I was happy to find that on my phone the new large plate seems to hold to the magnet just as well as the old one. I also put the medium plate on my work phone (iPhone 14 with thick case), and it seems to hold about as well as the large one does on my personal (Samsung Galaxy S9, thick case). ... show more

Nothing wrong with these little magnets. They’re very strong and they’re getting the job done. But be advised that newer models of pop sockets will not work with these, as the top of the pop socket can’t be “popped” off to put the magnet underneath. I learned this the hard way but still ended up using the magnet; I put it under my phone case and it works great. Scoche is honestly probably the best brand of phone magnets. ... show more

I bought this to go with the Scosche stand since I would think the suction would work. The phone I have is a little heavy so I am using the larger magnet. However, it seems the suction should be a little tighter. When if I go over unexpected bumps the phone will move.

The adhesive on the back is not great but I typically peel it off and super glue it to my phone case. I like the magnet which is why I’ve purchased these before when I get new phone cases.

    • Almost perfect - magnet can come off when near heater vent

This magnet system is by far the winner of all the phone mount systems we’ve tried. Love that I can just throw my phone in the general direction of the stand and it is solidly attached for the duration, just the safest way to deal with phone + driving realities. We’ve driven all over the US, this system is super solid. Which brings me, ahem, to the flaw. I have a Lifeproof cover on my phone, which has a matte texture. Magnet attaches fine for a long time. The base in my car is near the heater vent (Volvo). As the adhesion ages, the magnet suddenly detaches from the phone, and the phone goes flying. The heater vent is the key problem, plus the slight texture on my case plastic. If you have either a spot far away from a vent for the base, or a smooth phone surface, it will work. My husband’s smooth phone cover has not had this issue, but I’ve had it repeatedly with two separate covers and three new magnets. I hit on using Gorilla Glue to attach the magnet to my case permanently. Hopefully the glue is stronger than that strong magnet in the base! ... show more
