Outstanding vacuum. I have been using this vacuum for a year, and I needed to come back and leave a review after purchasing it because I am so happy with its performance. It is powerful; it lifts dust, human hair, and any item off the floor with no effort. I am a short lady, and I can carry the weight of the vacuum with no problem. Whether I clean by myself or someone comes to help me, I can rely on the vacuum to do an excellent job. My favorite part: not needing any bags or additional filters. I can wash up the canister and the filter, and nothing goes to the landfill. I have lived in Europe before I am always amazed by the quality of Miele products. If anyone in Miele reads this: keep doing what you are doing, quality products that last and don't hurt the environment. Is it expensive? yes, but I am not fighting with the product or investing in parts or filters. So it is definitely a great financial decision to get the best thing in the market without the troubleshooting and waste. Gracias Miele ! :)

I purchased this vacuum because I needed a vacuum I could use on "natural" rugs. Because you aren't supposed to use any heads with spinning brushes. So I gave away my upright. This vacuum has strong suction power (adjustable, which is nice) and does a great job on every surface. I will say that you'll need to also purchase the Turbo TeQ head if you are cleaning low-pile carpet. This head is powered by the suction (not electrically powered), and does a fabulous job. As with any Miele product, it's not cheap. But worth it. The vacuum's pros: Strong and adjustable suction, easy-rewind cord, multiple filtering levels. Cons: (to me): I sometimes find it difficult to keep a canister vacuum following me well. It's just me, I suppose, but an upright is easier to maneuver. And that's the ONLY con to this vacuum, in my opinion. It is truly the best vacuum I've ever owned.

I did a lot of research by watching several independent comparison reviews so that I knew which vacuum worked for our house. We have wood floors over 90% of our house (5,000sq ft), so I needed a reliable vacuum that was made for hard surface floors and low pile rugs. This is perfect!! Excellent warranty, lightweight, two vacuum heads included along with tool attachments for crevices and one for draperies too! I love that it suctions 360* around the head so you have suction all the way around. I’m very pleased!!

High quality, well designed vacuum. Really like the bagless design - easy to empty and saves on expensive bags and no old bag odor. Extremely quiet, good suction, and no noticeable dust or allergens stirred up (good filtration). The small detractors: the hose handle design is unnecessary, bulky, awkward to use, and has the dusting brush built into the handle,. This model is slightly larger and heavier than Miele bag vacuums and because of the handle design takes more storage space. The dirt canister has very much smaller capacity than the Miele bag canister vacuums - having two long haired dogs, I sometimes can’t even finish one room without having to empty the canister. Overall - Vacuum portion seems to be higher quality than my other two Miele vacuums. Highly recommend based on initial impression and use. After 6 months of use. Still impressed with the Vacuum and satisfied with my purchase but I am disappointed in accessories/attachments. It seems like their top engineers designed the vacuum and some clueless interns designed the hose and attachments. The deployable brush is a terrible design - intermittently impossible to extend and/or retract - sometimes works and sometimes it takes several minutes and both hands to get the brush to extend or retract. After several months, with very little use of the brush - a section of the plastic housing that surrounds the bristles just broke off while simply vacuuming (with the brush in the retracted position). The rotating carpet brush clogs so quickly with pet hair and is so difficult to clear that I have stopped using it.

So, I hate vacuums. From the Kirby to the Dyson, all upright vacuums are disposable. And I know because I've owned them all. For the last several years, I have literally bought a new vacuum once a year only to see it die in 10-12 months. The imminent death was often apparent after the first few uses. Now I have this MAGICAL & PROPER canister vacuum from Miele and could not have more housewife joy!! Vacuuming has never been easier or more efficient. My floors are showroom clean, dusting has become the simplest task, and the Miele is so easy and convenient to use that I find myself pulling it out for small messes I used o handle with a broom and dustpan. I wish I had known to skip all the years of vacuum hatred and upgrade directly to this. By now, I probably could have bought three of these - and one is definitely all I will ever need! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!

Honestly, for the price and the German engineering, I was hoping this would be better. It is not bad, but it could be better. I had a similar Kenmore vacuum (designed by Panasonic), that was about half the price with more features, but they don’t make them like that anymore, and I heard Miele was supposed to be the best. I’ll start with the Pros from my perspective. I like that it’s bagless. I like how smooth it rolls on its wheels. I like the built in handle. I like the different power settings on the motor. At full power, the motor is a little stronger and much quieter than my old vacuum, and it has lower power settings that makes vacuuming curtains easy. On the lower settings, it’s so quiet that my cat let me vacuum her with the soft brush, lol. Things I miss from my old vacuum that I would have had to spend hundreds of dollars more for on a Miele: On/off control on the handle and motorized carpet brush. There are two things that I think are actually quite terrible, and one thing that I like, but wonder if it’s going to break. The first thing that is terrible is the way the handle is put together. Where you grip it, there is a seam and some bumps from some plastic tabs that hold the seam together. This is in the main area where you grip the vacuum and move it around and the little tabs rub on your fingers the whole time you’re using the thing. It’s uncomfortable. I didn’t return the vacuum because I had used it a bunch already and I don’t think it’ll cause blisters or anything. It’s not super extreme, but it is not what I would think of as ergonomic, and it’s a pretty obvious issue to me, so I’m surprised “the best” vacuum manufacturer made a design choice like that. I added photos of what I’m talking about. They’re not huge, but they still are uncomfortable and should absolutely not be in that spot on the main area where you interface with the vacuum. The second thing is there is a convenient brush permanently attached to the short section near the handle. The idea is, you pop the long section off, then push a release and the brush slides down to the end where you can use it to vacuum your drapes or fans (or cats) or whatever. However the release switch/button thing is a struggle to get it to do anything. You end up pushing, pulling, sliding, wiggling until at some point the mechanism releases and the brush comes down. Then when you’re done, you go through the little dance again until you’re able to get the brush to pop back up to it’s inactive state. I still don’t know how it’s supposed to work. I’m gonna have to see if I can find the manual and see if it has any insight, but something like this should be intuitive. It looks like a button. Why does it not act like a button? The third thing is the way you can attach the stick part to the canister part so the stick stands upright. So far it has worked, and I like that there are two spots to attach the stick so you can do it whether the vacuum is on its wheels or standing upright. The thing that worries me is that the stick is essentially a long lever that can put a lot of force on the area where it slots into the canister. The way it attaches to the vacuum is a thin plastic fin on the back of the floor head that slides into a slot on the canister. The canister not the floor head have broken yet, but I’ve only had my vacuum for a few months. It does not feel very robust or instill me with confidence. It may never break, but it feels like it’s only a matter of time, so we’ll see. I guess on a positive note, there’s a Miele store near me, so if it does break, I can get it fixed.

I was searching for a vacuum designed for hardwood floors, and THIS one takes the cake! Perfect for my white oak floors as well as a great tool for the family room rugs. Thankful to find a vacuum that has small smooth rubber wheels that do not damage real hardwood floors and glides smoothly. The accessories are well thought out and the extension arm is easy to shorten or extend. Best of all, it has great suction power!

What a total disappointment in just about everything concerning this Blizzard, bagless Miele canister vacuum. From the way I picked it up after delivery to the Mail Room of my condominium and saw the hole torn in the Miele box, I knew right then and there that I could expect more disappointments once the box was opened and my new bagless canister vacuum presented itself to me! You can judge a proud and concerned merchant always by the way they pack their wares and send it to a customer; this vacuum came to me in its original Miele box, without the sender finding it necessary to go the extra mile and put the vacuum, box and all, into another nice, sturdy carton, just in case UPS felt compelled to use the package as practice for a basketball tournament. These packages are rough-handled and thrown around and easily can damage what is inside. So I received the Miele box with a gaping hole on the side. Once opened I put the vacuum together for its initial use and noticed immediately how short the hose was compared to my older Miele S8. Somehow everything looked less sturdy and very "plasticky" but once plugged in I found the suction excellent, which in retrospect is just about the only positive aspect of this vacuum cleaner. Initially I was thrilled to have a dusting brush on the handle for easy access, but my joy soon disappated when I found out that this brush stubbornly refused to either move down or back up and hurt my hands badly in the process of trying to get it to comply. After vacuuming a bit of my hall and my home office where my all-while cat loves to sleep, I noticed hair bobbing around in the dustbin and after unplugging decided to empty the dust container. It was then that I discovered the truly flimsy production which gives this vacuum its credentials as the BAGLESS Blizzard CX1! Truly horrifying and for me a very solid reason to put the dustbin back inside the vacuum and pack up this whole sorry excuse for a vacuum cleaner back into its carton and off to the place where it came from. Bottom line: this vacuum is highly overrated and nothing like the old, sturdy and long-lasting Miele vacuums I know from the past. And as far as German Engineering is concerned, please do take that idea with a generous amount of misconception as this vacuum cleaner clearly showed to me that this is a product not at all worthy of that lofty notion. And I say that because I am a native of a country neighboring Germany and grew up well aware of the high regard my family always has had for German products. If you like a lot of flimsy plastic components, holding together crucial parts and dust brushes which are attached to the handle of your vacuum and refuse to budge, rendering the wand impossible to attach once the brush is in its "down" position, then this "Bagless Wonder" will be absolutely perfect for you! I will keep searching for something much better.
