I’m not exactly tech savvy, so was nervous after some reviews I read talked about it being difficult to understand. It’s so easy. It guides you through, and if you don’t know what a symbol is later on within the app, just tap your screen and it’ll show you. Storage wise, this was such a great deal for 256 gb storage. I’m a picture hoarder. I always take about 10 pics in each ‘moment’ to find one good one out of the bunch. My problem is I literally never remember to go back and delete the excess. So I had literally over 9,000 pics on my phone, and over 1200 videos on it lol. Had blaring signs saying ‘no memory’ constantly, so finally got this. It works great, but my complaint is how long it takes to download. If you’re someone that’s just going to maintain downloading pics and vid’s, this is perfect. But for someone like me, with insane amounts to do- I’d look for faster downloading options. 2-4 seconds per pic isn’t bad. As long as you don’t have 9k pics to do lol. I like the fact that I can delete the excess pics after downloading, directly within the app for this storage device. And downloading by ‘memories’ makes it a bit easier for having years of pics to download.

I purchased the MFi-Certified 128GB Photo Stick to back up my iPhone photos and free up space, and overall, it has worked really well. The metal design feels sturdy and durable, and I like that it’s waterproof and dustproof. It includes Lightning, USB-A, and USB-C connections, which makes it super convenient to use across my iPhone, laptop, and even Android devices. Setup was simple—I downloaded the required app, plugged the drive into my phone, and started the backup with one click. Transfers are quick, and I was able to move hundreds of photos and videos in minutes. The app isn’t fancy, but it gets the job done. I also like that it has data encryption with password or Touch ID protection, which makes me feel better about storing personal files. The only minor downside is that it doesn’t have protective caps for the ports, but that hasn’t caused any issues for me so far. I bought this USB for the sole purpose of storing my iPhone photos since my storage was getting full. At first it worked well. The storage capabilities were good, the app was easy to use, and the USB is very portable. I followed all instructions and moved two years' worth of photos onto the drive and left it in a safe place. When I went back to transfer my photos to my computer, the USB would not respond. When I plugged it into my computer, my computer asked me to format the drive (which I cannot do as it will delete everything on the drive). I had previously formatted it before I had even started using it/transferring photos over. I ended up bringing the drive to a repair store/recovery center to get my photos back. The guy who helped me told me that he, coincidently, had the same exact drive before and it had the same issues I was having. He showed me how heavy the drive was compared to a regular USB and said the heaviness is due to extra metal used to make the USB and can interfere with the polarity of the USB, causing it the problems we both had. He recommended me to just use a regular USB next time with a USB/iPhone adaptor. PLEASE do not get this product. It may seem convenient, but it is not quality made and you will have a high chance of losing your data/have formatting problems. $200+ later I am still hoping and waiting that they can recover the photos I lost.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to figure out how to use it for what I needed it for until now a couple hours ago. Part of the problem was my phone didn’t have enough storage to even let the app work properly so I fixed that had to sacrifice some apps and videos, then for some reason the external storage wasn’t even showing up as available on the app. It was only showing up as if it was full I never figured out what that was about. Today that went away and showed up as available, I literally had it connected, everything was finally working. I also had it in my front pocket when I sat down to start to transfer the rest of my gallery for freed up storage and the lightning connecter snapped because of the way I bent.💔 It honestly shocked me because the whole thing feels like good quality and it’s not like I violently sat down or anything, what a tragedy. It didn’t completely snapped off but it doesn’t work anymore. I’d imagine it’s an easy fix just replace the lightning adapter if I was a tech person but I’m not so I’m wondering if I can get this replaced? It doesn’t have anything on it since it snapped before I got to transfer anything, everything else is still in good condition and all in tact. Other than what I’ve already mentioned above it’s a very nice usb I never had a heat problem on the times I was trying to get it to work, it’s very sleek high quality, again disappointed it wasn’t as durable I thought it was going to be although it partly is my own fault.
