My cat is terribly picky and has previously never been convinced to even step INTO another automatic litter box. After reading reviews for this one, I decided to give it a try. He used it the first day! I was ecstatic, and it had cut down on litter maintenance making my life much easier. I have found that a combination of normal clumping litter like Purina mixed with a bit of tapioca cat litter works best to clump up and lessen mess. My cat pees like a racehorse, so he needs something super absorbent and the addition of the tapioca in the litter forms dryer clumps faster, keeping the litter from sticking to the rake. The size is just right and the features on the app make cleaning the box out and managing litter routines a breeze. Super simple to use and efficient, if a little louder than I expected. Garbage. When it works, it does quite well, but the mechanism that operates the rake breaks SO easily. I have 3 of them. The oldest of the 3 is only 5 months old and has been broken for at least 2 months, but I've limped along with it. The 2nd has been in use for only about 2 months and is now completely inoperable. The arms on the sides are completely stuck and won't reset. The newest is about a month old, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time until that one breaks, too. Save your money. Best one yet. Can set a timer for how often you want the litter box cleaned. Very easy to use and easy to put a new bag into the drawer and also take out and put back in. It's not very loud either and it has tons of sensors for when the cats are on any part of it. Definitely recommend for cat parents. I have 2 cats and it works perfectly. Definitely worth the price and it's a good size and design as well and it's not heavy at all and very easy to clean and maintain. ... show more

This litter robot is fine. None are perfect, so the 4 stars is on a sliding scale. It does the job and I will keep it, but here are the pros and cons Pros: Unlike most, the app works well Top open box is most liked by my cat. The front loading ones are only for tiny cats and encourages them to kick litter everywhere. This keeps it fairly contained. Cons It’s loud. Like really, really loud. But you can schedule it for do not disturb mode. This is good because it will disturb your sleep even sevra rooms away. A lot of clean litter ends up in the bin. This means that not only does it fill up quickly (3 days is pushing it) but a lot of litter is wasted. The Andes not tell you when the bin is full, as the post says it does. The main basin is rather shallow and the wet little sticks to it, often preventing a proper clean. Make sure you are using properly fitting bags or it’ll be a mess All in all it requires a lot of supervision, which is what a robot is hoping to avoid. ... show more

    • Great features, breeze to set up and clean!
We've used several automatic litter boxes and this one has far exceeded our expectations! Additional app notifications like cat weight, stuck rake, etc are very helpful. Very easy to set up, cleaning is far simpler than other brands (the app has a function to lift the rake so you can remove the litter tray, and not cart the whole thing outside to clean!) and the capture bin is removable. I would recommend liner bags though as it makes disposal a breeze. We've tried a few different litters but have settled on Scoop Away Complete 4 pack of bags from Costco is about $15 and each bag lasts at least a month, and perfectly fills the tray.     • Frustrating start - Don't buy this make/model is my opinion
I'm so frustrated and disappointed in this considering the cost. I bought this for my elderly father who has dementia and can no longer manage a litter box. I'm there 2xs a week but cannot go every day to clean the box and his cat will not use his box if it hasn't been cleaned up yet. So, I'm frustrated as I needed the setup to be easy and quick, which it's not been... First observation, the wire "scooping" metal part is actually tarnished, almost rusting - fresh out of the box, delivered today!!! It does not seem super sturdy to me as far as the working mechanics go,so I can't imagine this thing working for over a year - if were lucky. Hoping im wrong about that. Also, the waste bin is smaller than I expected - I can't imagine it holding a weeks worth of kitty waste. The worst part so far - SET-UP... The setup in and of itself is very simple and self-explanatory. However, the problem is the app and the fact that you can't operate its automated functioning (the entire point of buying an automated Litter box) without wifi. With my 5G cell phone, it simply cannot connect the app and the box in order to sync up. Further, the app you have to download would not allow me to register and make our account using my number. Once I tried using email, it finally worked but again, I still can't setup its automated features without internet connection. I'll get the wifi password tomorrow to try again from his facility, but it Def will not work using my phones internet. It says it needs 2.4G and my cell is 5G so technically it should work, no??? I shouldnt have to worry about that. Its been SUPER frustrating!!! I assume that anytime the internet goes out, too, it won't work and will have to be reset again... ?? I'll update this review once I try the building's wifi. Otherwise, it seems as though it should work ok I guess - we shall see. A positive - it appears it will be fairly easy to take apart to clean. Again, wondering if I'll have to reset it everytime I wash the bin etc UPDATE: Not worth it. Should have gone with a different brand/make/model that was more durable. Just hard to tell durability online. It does such a bad job at scooping and it was a ridiculous process trying to setup, I recommend something else if you're considering this one. I'm contacting customer service to get money back, it's that terrible. Pro: The height is good for our elderly cat. He is easily able to get in and out just fine. ... show more

I tried couple kinds of auto litter box, this product is very similar to the traditional lay out. Setup is simple—basically just plug it in and it’s ready to go. Odor control is pretty good. i really liked this litter box. it had some minor issues, but after 4.5 months it broke. the first two months of using it went fine. my only issues were the waste bin filling quickly. this only takes 1.5/2 days with my 2 cats. when the waste bin is full, clumps can get caught in the rake and dragged back through the litter, or when you remove the waste bin, they'll fall into the receptacle which is so awkward to clean. however, if you set a reminder to empty or just have 1 cat, this really shouldn't be an issue. my next issue was that it would dump clean litter into the waste bin every so often, it wouldnt empty much, but enough for me to feel like it was wasteful. this seems to happen at random, no matter how full the box is with litter, or it its clean or dirty. these were really my only issues, the box is pretty quiet and does well with odors as long as you empty your bin and give everything a wipe down every couple weeks. however, around a month ago, i noticed my litter rake was sitting almost at an angle. it was hardly enough to notice, and it wasn't affecting scooping or anything so i figured i'd just keep an eye on it. well, around a week ago, i came home to find it sitting at a much more severe angle. i contacted support because i knew this was only going to get worse, and no response. it was getting stuck on the second rake that sits on the waste bin, and was not scooping as well as it had. as of today, the rake no longer scoops properly. it rakes through the litter, but now it just hovers over the waste bin and doesn't dump into it. it hovers, then slides back and dumps all the waste it just scooped into the box. i've tried all the trouble shooting available on their website. i'm really disappointed this happened, as even with the minor issues it had, i still liked it much more than manually scooping, and my cats definitely enjoyed having a clean box every time they used it. i was even going to purchase a different box from this same company, but now i'm reluctant to do so. ... show more
