I gave this 5 stars because I spent several hours researching ice packs and while this one isn’t perfect, I feel it’s the best you’ll find. It’s made of thick vinyl so I don’t think anything will poke holes in it. Has a good binding to keep it from falling apart. I got the larger size. Right size for back, knee, shoulder. It gets really cold. Although a little stiff straight from the freezer, it bends fine within 2 minutes. It has a center divider that helps conform it to your body. It stays cold a good amount of time but I haven’t timed it. Also not sure how long it takes to re-freeze but I would guess 1.5 hrs. Only downside is as it thaws it forms moisture on the outside. I wrap it in a very thin kitchen towel and it takes care of the problem. I would definitely recommend this ice pack. Update: the ice bag may be a heavy final but it’s covered by canvas-like cloth.

Style: Knee Ice Pack Wrap
I like that this ice pack has good solid wrap/velcro closures and keeps the pack in place. Also, that it covers the whole knee joint, from below the knee cap to a few inches above it - I don't have to move it around. The plush inner lining helps with comfort, but for a more intense icing, I can turn it to the other side. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this because I have back problems. It's large enough my back where the pain is. It so easy to put in the freezer and it does'nt take long to freeze. I have not used it in the microwave so not sure about it working for the heat. Glad I bought this.

The smaller pads are good for spot treatments, but I needed something to cover the hip and surrounding areas. This did the trick, similar in size to the ones at the physical therapist office. They feel of good quality too.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this ice pack after a back injury in a car accident. It is big enough to get most of my mid to lower back. I am a smaller size. I know there is a size larger That will probably cover my entire back. It stays cold for at least 30 to 45 minutes. I haven’t really used it past that. But I’m sure it would stay cold for an hour. I wrap it in a thin towel or place it on top of my shirt. It is easily flexible so I can lay on top of it. I haven’t had any issues with it or any leaking. I would buy another of this brand and type.
