  • Great, Especially for the Price, but Not for Tall Users (6''+)
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
I am very impressed with this exercycle! It's hard to imagine a better product for the price. It's very sturdy, and the design is simple but well thought out. My list of Pros and Cons: PROS: 1. Very sturdy. 2. Excellent design. 3. Assembly is easy except for the tension control. 4. The screen is easy to see. 5. Good tech support. CONS: 1. It's not for tall users; I'm guessing anyone over 6 feet. It would be nice if Marcy added some length. 2. Attaching the tension control is Hard. 3. The "wheels" are useless on carpet. 4. It's best used on a hard surface; there's a SMALL amount of side-to-side motion on carpet. 5. The tension (pedaling difficulty) is not used for the display, especially : Speed, Distance, Odometer, Calories. If you were pedaling up a steep hill or very fast (high tension) those statistics would increase. The bike just measures RPM's and translates that to the display stats wo regard for tension. You'll have to let virtue be it's own reward here :) 6. I would be a bit more comfortable with the seat lower and tilted further back. but this is a minor quibble. It may have a lot to do with my height. Since I'm over 6 feet tall I fastened an old pair of orthotics to the pedals and I pedal in bare feet. This gives me just enough extra length to comfortably use the bike. The pros are huge and the cons are are all minor. This is a GREAT exercycle, especially for the price! I HIGHLY recommend it. ... show more

  • Really great product for what it is - just don't have unrealistic expectations!
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
I bought this specifically for the short term, during the COVID-19 outbreak, since all gyms are closed and it is not a real option to go outside to get my usual exercise. My main goals were to get a solid and quiet recumbent bike that I could use right now with as little investment as possible given I will go back to my usual gym in the near future. But I needed it to be lightweight yet solid enough to actually deliver a decent workout. I was skeptical about assembling a recumbent bike myself, but there is no way I was going to spend $700 on a bike for the short term which likely is much larger and too unwieldy. So I went with this one which is kind of an 'off' brand compared to Nautilus or the other brands I looked at. The bike arrived in a 50 pound box about 3' x 2' x 2' (estimated.) It took me about 90 minutes to put together. Was very easy except for two things 1.) securing the handlebar and 2.) securing the tension wiring. The instructions say to secure the handlebar screws AFTER securing the seat... but you cannot get the screws in for the handlebar when the seat is already in place. So put the handlebar on before the seat. Second, the internal tension wiring apparatus and how to connect the upper part to the lower part neglected to indicate you have to cut off the ziptie and lower the large metal catch to actually connect the two pieces. Even the way I describe this here is unclear. But basically you just have to play with it until it works. Only thing I can recommend is DO NOT pull it too hard or tight, it does not need to be pulled apart with great force, rather the large metal catch needs to be lowered. In terms of the machine itself, pros are: - Works well - Streamlined design - Pedals are smooth during rotation - Very quiet - Seat is a very good large size - Padding on seat and back are very sufficient - Timing/calorie/laps mechanism works well and is simple - Tension levels are very different and truly go from light to hard - Not too heavy - Easy enough to move from one room to another I really do not have any cons because as I said in my headline, I just did not have unrealistic expectations. I will definitely use this daily and can see myself keeping this for quite a while. I am very pleased with the item and recommend it. I will update in a few weeks to report on how it has held up. ... show more

  • Great recumbent bike. My son's is going strong at close to 900 miles.
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
Great bike. I bought one for my son and used it while visiting him. It was quiet, relatively easy to assemble, comfortable and stable. I bought one for myself. I have it on a yoga mat but that's not necessary.

  • Love it, great value!
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
I bought two of these, one for each place I stay during the week. I love this recumbant bike. It's a fantastic value for the cost. Cons My husband put this together. There is no way I could have done that. Pay to get it assembled if needed. Only other gripe- it does not save the odometer reading. I was looking forward to seeing 500 miles, but my batteries died at 475 miles. When you take out the batteries, you lose your total miles. I know that's minor, but I would love to see total lifetime miles. I keep track of it myself now. ... show more

  • Extremely Well Made! Great For Seniors and Super Comfortable!
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
We loved everything about this! Especially that it's Not some futuristic Exercise Bike! You're not hunched over. No back fatigue or shoulder strain. I got it originally for my wife's physical therapy, but I find myself using it more than my wife! The easy magnetic resistance settings are super smooth. No friction straps or chains that can bind or break. Easily Worth Twice The Price. It also has a Thick, Large comfortable seat and user-friendly, easy to read display. And nothing to plug in. The easy to read brite display is the only thing that needs power. And it's only 2-AA batteries which should last for months. Also easy on the eyes. Not a hunk of plastic. But It's still heavy duty and low slung. Easy to move and store. I'd say this is great for everyone. 10 Stars If Possible! ... show more

  • A recumbent bike that's best suited for the mechanically inclined A recumbent bike that's best suited for the mechanically inclined
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
I just received this yesterday and assembled it today. My impressions are entirely based upon assembly and briefly checking function. With that said, I will update my review in 90-120 days to provide a long-term review. I struggled with what to write here because for the price and raw materials, this is a recumbent bike that's worth buying for the right person. At the same time, it has all sorts of little issues that likely exist in most units, which make it best suited for someone who's mechanically inclined. To start, let me give you a brief summation of recommendation, for those who may not want to read my entire review. I feel this bike is best suited for those who just want to mindlessly spin in front of the TV. This recumbent is solid enough for daily use, but it's not going to provide any serious recumbent user with a variety of resistance or workouts. In sum, this is a VERY simple machine that is meant for pure cardio/calorie burning. If that's what you're looking for AND you're somewhat mechanically inclined, I do recommend this. On the other hand, if you're not mechanically inclined and/or you're expecting this to give you a varied workout, you'd be best suited to seek a recumbent that's a bit more feature rich. Pros and cons: Pros: - It's solidly built and stable - It's nearly silent - It provides enough resistance to burn substantial calories and get your heart rate up - It's perfectly suitable for mindless spinning Cons: - The seat and back support you see in the photos is not what you'll receive. The photos show a contoured seat and back support. What you'll receive (see photo) is nothing more than a broad base and back support with flat foam and basic covering. The seat and backing are not uncomfortable but not of the quality implied by the photos. - The instructions are incomplete. 1. Do not tighten down the seat before you've installed both bolts to hold the armrest. If you do, you won't be able to install those bolts later. 2. In order to install the resistance wire, screw the entire base of the portion coming out of the base, IN. After getting the base portion of the resistance mated with the portion coming from the dial, screw the twistable portion back out approximately 1/3 of the way back out then screw the bolt up to the base in order to secure that setting. It's important to do this so you have the entire 8 resistance settings! - My unit came with pedals that lacked the proper amount of grease for the bearings AND they were both over tightened. To fix this issue, use any decent grease, remove the back cover of each pedal to get to the rear bolt, and then loosen the rear bolt. After that use a liberal amount of grease and then tighten the rear bolt back up snuggly but no more than necessary to remove play in the bearing interface. - The resistance mechanism, crank arms and likely the entire inner system create a somewhat smooth feel but lack a natural feedback you'd expect from pedalling. I didn't take the unit apart to adjust this and very well may need to later but it's mostly due to the fact that the unit uses a belt drive and not chain drive, dial resistance, and very small flywheel. This isn't necessarily a negative because at this price point, this is just simply what you'll get. In short, as long as your unit is quiet when pedalling and there are no uneven areas while you're pedalling, but it feels a little unnatural to you, that's just the sum of belt driven, cheap magnetic resistance and a small flywheel. - Others have stated that this unit can accommodate people up to 6'3" but I question their reasoning. My legs are of average length for my 6'1" height and this unit barely accommodates my leg length. So unless your legs are say 33 inch inseam or under, this isn't going to accommodate you. In sum, because if the issues I ran into, I still feel this is best suited for a mechanically inclined person. Or, if you're not mechanically inclined and have a bike shop near, ask them if they'd assemble your bike. They may not because it's not actually a bike. However, I worked at a bike shop when I was younger and we would provide that service if asked, since the core concepts are similar between and actual bike and exercise bike. I also feel the only people who should be buying this are people 6'1" and under and those who are only buying this to spin and burn calories. If all of the above holds true, I cautiously recommend this. With that said, I will update my review in 90-120 days to give a more long-term opinion. Cheers! ... show more

  • Excellent Exercise Bike For The Price
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
I weight 330 pounds and desperately need to lose weight, but I also have bad knees and other issues which make walking painful and running impossible. I thought an exercise bike would allow me to get some exercise while being easier on my joints. This bike fits my needs perfectly. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive bikes, but it does what I need and does it very well. The weight limit for the bike is listed as 300 pounds, but it handles my weight with no problem. There is no sagging, creaking or other signs of overloading when I am using it. It feels very solid and it is very smooth and quiet while in use. I am also 5' 11" with a 32" inseam and the pedal reach is comfortable with the seat in the last position. It was also easy to assemble but one word of advice, put the handle on BEFORE putting on the bottom seat. If you assemble them in the order given in the instructions you'll be taking the seat off again. Overall I'm very happy with the bike and would recommend it. ... show more

  • Simple, adequate, good piece of equipment for the price
Size: 11.00 x 22.00 x 31.00" Color: Black/Grey
Bought this on sale for my wife, who wanted one thinking it would make all the difference and then almost never uses it. Whatever. Regardless, here's my review: I'm a personal trainer who works at a fitness center. Recumbent bikes but are still my best recommendation for people starting out who want to build cardio and burn calories at higher intensities than walking. I find they make it easier to put in longer sessions than almost any other machine, even walking a treadmill, they are easier on the butt and back than upright cycles, and are a lot easier on the joints than jogging. Weight bearing exercise, like walking, should still be progressively added to your regimen, as comfort allows. I didn't curse much while putting this thing together and I've got a short fuse for that kind of thing so that's a good sign. I've used it a couple times and broken a sweat. It's not noticeably flawed or uncomfortable. Digital display is simple but adequate. Main complaints: The directions are good except for one part where I had to take the seat bottom off again in order to attach the handlebar properly. That was a definite flaw in instruction steps order. The resistance doesn't go very high. It would be nice, in this day and age where everyone has a mobile device, if there were a little shelf for a phone or tablet, to watch Netflix or whatever. The digital display is not very entertaining. Overall a good piece of equipment for the price. Glad to have it added to the household. ... show more
