Ok so I see some sweeties on here that tried this with unprocessed non treated hair. IT WILL NOT WORK IF YOU DO NOT PROPERLY PREP YOUR HAIR. Like with any black color it is wise to fill hair first for a more rich multidimensional apperance. My hair has been every color in the rainbow and I applied this over my previous ultra violet color. This worked wonderfully because as we all know if you slap black or blue over a pre lightened bleached shade you will most likely end up with turquise/green locks. Since my previous violet had a red base in the dye this acted as a close enough contrasting color(orange/red) to help defend against that green/turquoise cast. This product will slip right off of Virgin hair because topical colors grip better with more porous and pre treated hair. Remember, this is a topical dye used sans developer so don't expect it to put if work if you don't. Results are obtainable, and I suprisingly had little issues with staining for such a vibrant color. Wear a black shirt and use Vaseline on skin and for the love of all things holy PLEASE wear gloves. If this all sounds too much for you remember you can purchase a couple of jars of these and bring them with you to a salon for a professional to use on you. I will post pictures of my results in a while and include my thoughts on longevity,upkeep and fading.

As the title says. I tried many different brands of hair dye for blue, red, purple. Manic Panic is the only one with vibrant colors that last the longest out of all products lines I tried. Will not look any where else for a blue, red or purple hair dye. Will stick with this brand….thank you for this new color. It’s the perfect blend of blue with purple undertones.

I wanted to dye my hair with some thing that wasn’t going to be impossible to get out, and my hair is blue before I dyed it this color, so it definitely looks more blue than black in the correct lighting, but it gives the same aesthetic I was looking for

It's a very dark blue that seemed to have a purpleish tint to it when I held it up to the light. I mixed it with another blue to lighten it up a bit(the larger container that was half full). I got a pretty good color out of it. This is common for me, I mix and match mainly to use up product I did not fully go through previously. The color was left in for about 30-45 mins. I rinsed in the sink for about 10 mins or so then showered after. I use warm water (especially in the winter) and I do a light shampoo/condition, this time I used a purple combo I had. The color has stayed pretty consistent since this initial application. I have washed/ conditioned maybe three times total since. I have had little issue with residue on my clothes/ body, even after my first rinse. I think the key is to just spend a lot of time making 100% sure your water runs clean, that's why I use a sink first (I have dyed my feet before, it sucks). And be aware that adding shampoo to the mix will remove the dye as well, I have not found any brand that does not do that to some degree and I have used many different ones. Overall I am happy with the results, but I don't know that I am happy enough that I will use this brand/color exclusively. I have shoulder length hair and I only do a light pass on my roots. I believe that one container would have given me the coverage I like, with the mix I did I still have plenty for another application.

I purchased this so I wouldn't ruin my hair with Splat boxed dye, but I guess I'd been better off with it. I wasted my money getting this. I have rinsed my hair for like ten mins, 2 separate times and then washed it finally. It wont stop bleeding out of my hair. The color is good, darker than I wanted but it's all over my shoulder and neck and arm from running out of my hair when I sweat or am in the shower. I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING MANIC PANIC ANYTHING ANYMORE.

This is a very deep blue that's almost black depending on the light. Just like any other blue or dark color, it does stain a lot so be aware when applying and rinsing out. I always wear gloves when applying but I would also recommend gloves while rinsing too.
