  • Great pool ladder and customer service
This ladder is so easy to use for getting in and out of the pool, it’s more like stairs! One of the handrails had a slight dent making it not quite fit into the base, so I emailed customer service and they sent me a replacement immediately. I didn’t have to do a thing! We’re using the pool way more now with this sturdy ladder and we’re so glad to have made the switch! ... show more

  • Very nice!
We love this ladder in our pool!! It is good quality, sturdy, has wide footing, and looks beautiful!! I am such a picky person on things looking nice and clean. This fits the bill!! My husband did an excellent installation—there is no bounce or lifting. Feels strong entering or exiting the pool. It is also easy to clean around and under. I had originally wanted a staircase until I found these. No regrets!! If you haven’t the strength to pull yourself up and down a ladder, that may be the only drawback. But I am not a tiny person nor super young, and so just fine. 😊 ... show more

  • Great stairs, only one small flaw
These stairs are great for an above ground pool to anchor into a deck. The only drawback is it has a tendency to float up from the bottom and move around a bit from side to side. Its not terrible but you have to be careful to push it down before you stand on it. Other than that they work really well. ... show more

  • Easy to install and sturdy
After reading some reviews I was worried that the ladder wouldn't hold up to my teen boys. But when it arrived I realized the poles were thicker than I expected. I did purchase aluminum brackets instead of using the plastic ones it came with and they fit perfectly. If you put weight on it when you tighten the bracket screws, it'll stay down and not float up. I also used a mat under the ladder to protect my liner. ... show more

  • 5 stars for the ladder, 3 stars for the instructions.....Learn from my mistakes first!!
So I gave this 5 stars because the product was good, but I think the instructions could have been a little better. I learned from experience, so I will fill you in. 1- DO yourself a favor and use the metal brackets. The plastic ones with it are cheap, IMO. 2- It is suggested you can use regular patio pavers in the ladder to balance it out. Well it should be mandatory. I wish I had done this first. It would have made installation easier. The ladder kept floating to the top and it made my holes I needed to drill a little off. I placed 4 pavers in the ladder. Two on the bottom step, and 2 on the one above it, both sets of pavers were in the middle slots. It held the ladder in place and made it a lot sturdier. 3- Make sure the metal handrails are evenly spaced and straight before you secure them to the ladder. I wish I had, and will have to do this next yr, but it will get me through the season. Also make sure they are all the way in. You might have to use some type of lube to get them in, and make sure you push down hard, it's not as easy as you think. Overall, it's a good ladder. I am over 300pds and it held me fine, no bending or movement of ladder when using it. I wish the instructions were clearer, it would have made things a lot easier. 5 stars for ladder, but 3 stars of the instructions ... show more

  • Buy only if you like to tinker
Don't buy this ladder unless you like to tinker. You can see from the picture that the curved hand-bars are different lengths, both on the short side and the long side. The curves are even different diameters! Their solution for this is to have you drill 1-1/2" holes in your deck, and the excess will poke through. This would make it less stable, and if you ever replace the ladder, you'll probably have to deal with those holes because the overall widths vary. I made it work by cutting both ends to match my deck height, and bending the tighter curve out slightly. Even so, you have to adjust for the fact that the ladder tends to float. Other than these quirks, it works well. ... show more

  • Love it
The media could not be loaded. I was worried due to the other reviews. But bought anyways and I’m so glad I did. Its sturdy. And wide with large steps. I had my deck built and needed a ladder my mother would be able to get up and down on. This is the one! Def not trying to float. Its great. Easy installation. Def buy it for yourself ... show more

  • it is the only deck ladder I can use for my pool but I'm on my 3rd one!
My pool has a slight slope at the edges so this ladder could never sit flat, the ladder does float out a bit and I have to use a ladder mat so it won't rip my liner bc the back edge digs into the bottom. The weak spot on this ladder is where the aluminum rails slide into the plastic ladder. Two of these ladders have snapped off at this spot. I am now always on the lookout for a used one going up for sale so I don't have to keep paying full price for a replacement when my next one breaks. You may not have this issue if your ladder sits flat and fits correctly to your deck. My pool was already installed when I bought my house so the holes are already in my deck but they aren't in the best spot and so there is some wiggle using the ladder. Also this last one I purchased came with dented IE non rounded ends on the aluminum rails and were very difficult to insert into the ladder, we had to use a rubber mallet to pound them in. ... show more
