  • Easy to install well built
Color: Warm Grey/Warm Grey Size: Base Step
These steps were easy to put together. Everything fit together perfect and the instructions were easy to read. Don’t forget to add the sand. We used almost one 50lb bag and half of another, but they sunk down good and fit the pool as described. Would definitely recommend.

  • Why did I wait? It’s better than I thought I’d be!
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Base Step
I bought this for my dog, but tbh, I was eyeing it because it looks nicer than the stupid ladder. When I opened it, I took a picture on how to put it back in the box because it looks like lil tykes crap, but I loosely assembled it just to see. So it kinda grew on me, then I committed, put it together, added sand and threw it in the pool… for the dog… So… I LOVE THESE STAIRS! And so does the ol’ dog. Everything I didn’t like is submerged. Except the attachments for the deck, which I plan to paint. Krylon has successfully worked for under water plastics for me, so it should be absolutely fine. The railing looks way classier than the hoop ladder, the steps feel more comfortable for all. My agp is 16’x28’ and I don’t feel like it takes up any room at all, just assemble the steps differently, (concave). I don’t know why I waited? Haven’t decided if I’m gonna do the add on, because I like the way it looks better, but tbh, these are wider than I expected and working fine. The addition would be for my snobby ass wanting “wedding cake steps”. As for those concerned about adding the sand and not being able to handle it, I had no issues alone. It’s 40lbs of sand and once you throw it in the water it’s easily adjustable I just slid it in, it doesn’t immediately sink. $3 of play sand from HD. Also, from previous posts, if anchored properly, the handrails feel legit. May change after a bit of TX heat, so this could change, I’ll keep you posted, but I also could add screws. Side note, I ordered “grey” because it was cheaper and was prepared to paint them, but was sent the 2-tone “warm grey”, which I like way better and works with everything I have going on. I assume maybe they’re only manufacturing this now because it’s awesome and they only should. So I didn’t alert them about the mistake and will enjoy them, as is. I think these look great and if you’re a dog owner, I think these are brilliant. I have a fat, 10 yr old, dog, who has hip issues and needs to lose weight, in TX! This the way. The top step is above the water so she can see her way out without panic as swimming is new to her, but you can teach old dog new tricks and I am thankful for these stairs to help her and me in our adventures. I also really enjoyed the enclosed history of this Company. Even if you don’t purchase these awesome stairs, look up the Great American who started this company and his family continuing it. It’s also fun to learn how businesses start and where they end up. Happy Memorial Day, Ray Confer and family! Thank you for making ours more comfortable. We will remember you everyday! ... show more

  • Solid Wide Pool Stairs
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Base Step
I needed new stairs for my 52" new above ground pool. These are solid, wide and relatively easy to assemble. They were well packaged and arrived in good condition. All the parts and instructions were included. Assembly was literally a snap. All the pieces snapped together as I just followed the instructions step by step. The reviews noted many different ways to weigh down the stairs. I decided to just follow the instructions and used gravel instead of sand. Since I am older and it's only me, I needed them not to be too heavy so that I may easily put them in and take them out with the changing of the seasons. I used 20 pounds of pea gravel. I first cleaned the stones well and poured 10 pounds into each side. I then lowered the stairs slowly into the pool. I leaned them to the right and allowed the water to fill up the stairs, I leaned them to the left and let them fill, to the right and to the left until the stairs just settled on the bottom. It took a good 10-15 minutes. As you can see from my photos, the stairs sit on the bottom of the pool without being anchored to the deck. I then screwed the stair attachment arms to a couple of pieces of 2x4s that are screwed to a 2x10 piece of wood as a base. I then strapped the base to my deck. I did not want to screw the stair base to the composite decking because screw holes would damage the decking over time. The winch straps are really strong and keep the stairs in place when tightened correctly. I love the extra width of these stairs. The hand railings are fairly sturdy and do well getting me in and out of the pool. I installed them in June 2022 and am writing this review 2 months later. I have had a couple of pool parties with kids, adults over 300#s and everyone in between. The stairs are still as perfect as the day I installed them. These are great quality pool stairs for the price. I highly recommend them. ... show more

  • There’s no way around it. You MUST follow the directions exactly.
Color: Warm Grey/Blue Size: Base Step with Add-On
You must fill the bottom chambers with sand first. All of the 4 chambers have two sections inside each section has to be filled with sand. Not just the one section that you can see. There’s another section that you cannot see. You have to put the sand over in the second section as well, and when it’s filled to the top, the (bottom sections) put the caps on. Then fill the upper sections with sand, both inner chambers of each section must be filled with sand and then leave the upper caps off. Do not put them back on and then continue putting your steps together. I guarantee you they will go down to the bottom of your pool and stay put Again, you must must must follow the instructions and you also must fill up both inner sides of each sand chamber, There are two sides in each chamber where you have to put sand. Good luck. ... show more

  • Best stairs yet
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Base Step with Add-On
I highly recommend these stairs. I know there are some mixed reviews. And I would definitely say somebody with a little bit of skill is going to do a better job of putting these together the right way. We did it exactly as it stated filled the stairs with sand. We use the exact amount recommended. They have been in our pool for about three weeks now and work perfectly, and do not lift up at all. So the trick is definitely getting the air out of the stairs once you have it in the pool. We dragged the stairs into the middle of the pool and twisted them. Every way you could think of until not a single bubble of air came out. only after we did that did we attach them to the deck. The only downside is these suckers now filled with sand and water are going to be a nightmare to ever have to get out. We usually take our stairs out for winter and there’s no way that’s happening this year so will have to modify my winter cover around the stairs. Still worth it. They are BIG. I took a picture of me standing on the steps for reference. Probably 6 toddlers can sit comfortably on the top 2 steps. ... show more
