We bought this ladder to replace a terrible one that came with our 52inch pool. I was hesitant because the price was SOOOO good, but after reading a lot of reviews we decided to do so. I can't say enough GREAT things about this ladder. 1) Set up--SUPER EASY. All the parts were clearly labelled and it took my husband and I about an hour to put it all together. 2) STURDY! It's very sturdy, the stairs fit snuggly, the platform is the perfect width and it was very easy to climb in and out of the pool. 3) SAFETY! I love that you can removed the steps that lead into the pool. No need to worry about safety issues when you aren't using the pool. Just pop the steps out and no one is getting on that ladder. All in all, this ladder works great. It wasn't difficult to put together and I love the ease that the outer rungs can be removed to prevent unauthorized access to the pool. Not stable at all, will shift, but for this kind of ladder I guess there's no good choice, my big complaint is the wrungs/steps will let go with you and drop, the assembly is correct, no one here exceeds the weight limit. I've had to take it completely apart and reassemble the 3rd outside step twice. Have no clue on how to correct this issue. ... show more

This was far less expensive than most other ladders, and it works fine. I'm 5' 11" and about 175 pounds and it easily holds my weight. The non-water side legs have extensions on the side that stabilize it well.
