The stairs came on time and perfectly described! There were a couple items in the box that I thought I forgot to put on, but this particular one comes with parts for a couple different applications, so don't panic if you have left over parts, too, lol! Directions were easy to follow and once I got it together I just placed it in the pool so it could fill with water. (I didn't use sand). For us, a 4X4 (I think 24" long) piece of wood was perfect to put under the support arms (that face away from the pool at the bottom of the ladder hand-rails when you are entering the pool, the support arms that you secure to the deck of your pool) because we have weird rails on our above ground pool, so we could only lower them so far. The 4X4 fit perfectly. I secured the wood to the deck, and secured the support arms to the 4X4. Works perfectly for a family of four and has stayed in place and doesn't wobble. These are junk .. I've had pool stairs before and figured these would be good .. wrong ! I had to use screws to hold the steps on .. bottom is held tighter with zip ties .. if your gonna spend money .. buy something else .

So definitely need to tweak few things especially with the white plastic crap to hold the stairs on try 3 we just screws them to the steps lol but after all it's plastic! With that being said, the steps itself are actually seemed to be very sturdy which I'm pleased with the downside. The rails are absolutely not definitely will be used this summer, but I wish that there was a way to secure the rails more. I will try to rig something up. They just need to be heavier, but for the stairs itself, I did give four stars. Well comment back after I figure out what I'm gonna do with the rails, they're just hollow and I know that if somehow we can figure out how to stuff it with something it'll make it stronger lol good luck. Oh and PSSSSS... definitely drill holes to make them bigger totally helps with sinking them!!! ... show more

Nice pool steps. Easy to assemble & attach to wood deck. Used a sand bag on each side to hold it down & it stayed in place perfectly, not a speck of sand leaked out. Wide steps & incline made getting in & out much much easier than a regular pool ladder. Easy enough to remove at the end of season. I was hesitant about purchasing online but am glad I did. Steps look nice with the pool. Very pleased with the purchase & I would definitely recommend & would also buy again if needed. ... show more

These stairs arrived on the expected date, and were packaged into one large box. They were easy to assemble, and instructions were clear to follow. All the items needed to put the stairs together were included in the box, with the exception of tools such as a hammer or screw driver which I did use to push in the side caps on the stairs or screw the secure section to the deck. The stairs are filled with sand, about 25 pounds on each side, to provide weight and keep them down in the pool, water will not work. My pool is an Intex pool just under 5 ft. deep and the stairs fit perfect into it. They are not to down deep into the pool where you feel like you are going to fall in, and they are not to high where they are sticking out of the water. The first step sits just below the water, where you step onto it and the water covers your foot. They are sturdy, even my mother feels confident using these stairs to go in and out of the pool. They are not bulky where they are taking up to much space, however; my pool is 18 ft across. I do believe they would be bulky in a 14ft pool and smaller, and in a 14 ft pool they might be to tall. Really not bad… but a few tips to make it better and actually useable. Luckily, we bought this for a second entrance to our pool. 1) No mallet needed. Add some rustproof screws to hold all the little plastic pieces in place. You’ll notice once you attempt to put it in water and everything slips out. 2) Get more heavy duty zip ties. The bottom will not hold with the cheap ones sent with the steps. 2) Fill the sides and rails with something to weigh it down. We used small stones and sand temporarily until our new pool liner comes in and we plan to empty and fill with concrete. 3) Leave off the bottom piece under the first step to make cleaning under the steps easier. 4) Drill a small hole in the 2 bottom pieces that are held on by the zip ties. Add concrete so that it’s enough weight to keep it in place. Other than that, not bad for the price. We have the really expensive steps and thy are a nightmare to clean under with suction cups that need annual replacing and holes that keeps restricts water flow and is a pain to clean. ... show more

I prefer this over a traditional ladder. The steps make it easy for the young and the old to get in and out of the pool! I bought this and the weight system you can add to the sides of it to hold it down so the steps won't float up! As far as the steps go, they are great, the problem was that it did float up. We did not want to fill it with sand because as other reviewers stated, it makes it nearly impossible to get it out of the pool when it's weighted down with sand! We let the water from the pool fill it up, it still floated up. We filled the side weights with sand, attached them and it still floated up. We had to purchase 2 10 pound dumbbell rubber hand weights from Walmart and zip tie them to the sides of the steps along with the Easy Weight system, and that did the trick. I give these steps 5 stars because of the ease of getting in and out of the pool and they seem to be well made. I have some large 270+ pound men in my family, and the steps can handle all of that weight with ease! ... show more
