  • Absolutely love it
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Drop In Step with Add-On
Update 6/2019: Still have them, still going strong. Copying some resourceful reviewers on here, I've removed all the sand, let them fill with pool water, slid a 1.5" diameter PVC pipe under the main stairs between 2 holes in the sides (my unit is the older one before the holes were filled in), hung 2 3-gallon buckets (with lids of course) full of sand from it and attached the plastic arms to the deck. They are firmly in place. We did not hang the buckets of sand until after the stairs were in the pool as this made it easier to get them into the pool & jostle around to fill with water. Make sure you let them fill with water - air is your nemesis here! For end of season removal, just remove the buckets of sand, drain as much water as possible, have one average person in the pool and one on the deck and work together to lift them out. How do I know? Tried it. 2 of us were able to easily remove them by removing the buckets of sand, lifting and tilting them (while we were both in the pool) to let some water drain until we felt they were light enough. Then one of us got out of the pool, the person in the pool lifts & tilts the stairs while the person on the deck steadies and lifts. This is much, much easier than when they were filled with sand - obviously. Will post photos when I remove them from the pool this year, but look through the reviews, there are photos from others showing this method. I highly recommend these stairs still. Update: Removing these from the pool is definitely a 2-3 person job. I was able to do it with myself plus one, but it was not easy. Consider that in planning at closing time. Product idea: some sort of folding lift system to assist in getting these out, I may try to devise something. Still highly recommend these, we have gotten lots of positive remarks from people who have seen and used them in our pool. We have been using this for just about a full season now. Absolutely love it, much, much better than a plain old ladder. Buying it here was by far the best price. Not hard to put together, pouring the sand in was a bit tedious but after putting it into the pool I can see why so much is needed. Its still fairly buoyant even with all that wet sand. Use of the plastic arms to attach it to the deck (as per the directions) made it quite sturdy and not easily movable. Others have modified this to hold sandbags or cinder blocks instead of filling it with sand, I think I'll find out why when I attempt to haul these suckers out of the pool for winter. I'll be tackling that task within the next 2 weeks. 80lbs of wet sand, pool is 52" tall.....going to call a buddy over, split a 6 pack and then try to haul it out without damaging the side of the pool. ... show more

  • Best stairs yet Best stairs yet
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Drop In Step with Add-On
I highly recommend these stairs. I know there are some mixed reviews. And I would definitely say somebody with a little bit of skill is going to do a better job of putting these together the right way. We did it exactly as it stated filled the stairs with sand. We use the exact amount recommended. They have been in our pool for about three weeks now and work perfectly, and do not lift up at all. So the trick is definitely getting the air out of the stairs once you have it in the pool. We dragged the stairs into the middle of the pool and twisted them. Every way you could think of until not a single bubble of air came out. only after we did that did we attach them to the deck. The only downside is these suckers now filled with sand and water are going to be a nightmare to ever have to get out. We usually take our stairs out for winter and there’s no way that’s happening this year so will have to modify my winter cover around the stairs. Still worth it. They are BIG. I took a picture of me standing on the steps for reference. Probably 6 toddlers can sit comfortably on the top 2 steps. ... show more

  • Great stairs, But have a plan. Great stairs, But have a plan.
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Drop In Step with Add-On
Purchased these for my new deck they look great..I bought the whole system, And the directions to me are sort of all over the place they fail to tell you if you bought the curve add on don’t put the steps on the main staircase other than that pretty easy to assemble although I would of liked to put a few screws in to hold it together as some of the snap on pieces have had to be banged in again. My pool gets serious use maybe that is the reason...I didn’t add sand as 70 pounds of sand would make it no feasible to remove it from the pool....I removed the sand caps put it in the pool rocked it for almost a half hour let it go and it literally came up and floated stairs side down took me a good few weeks to come up with something that worked for me so I got some bags that hold sand or stone and zipped tied them to the inside of the ladder still floated a little even with almost 100 lbs of weight, But I could live it, But the next issue was in what I believe is a fatal flaw of this ladder is the deck bracket if you look at the design it doesn’t make sense that it’s allowed to slide up and down the rails when it was attached to the deck the tapered design of the bracket pulled the front of the ladder back so it was digging into my liner so I attached two pieces of wood to the deck to compensate for the tilt it’s still about 1/4 inch up in the front better than the 3 inches it once was...Like I said they look great my kids love them easy for older people to get in and out.Would recommend them just have a game plan going in before they sit on your deck assembled for 2 weeks before you figure it out. ... show more

  • Looks great in the pool

These were relatively easy to put together. The only issues we had was our fault in accidentally skipping a step. Look great and work great.

  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Drop In Step with Add-On
I don't usually post a review but I was so impressed with these steps that I want to share with others how well these steps are made. These are the sturdiest above ground pool steps I have ever seen. Everything snaps together with no hardware. Once filled with sand and water there is no chance of them floating as with other pool steps. They are so easy to use from our small kids to my elderly mother. I have gotten so many compliments from people who have seen them. I can't emphasize enough on how sturdy these are. They may cost a little more than others but well worth it. Probably will never need replacing. ... show more

  • Bad Cake Design
Color: Warm Grey/Grey Treads Size: Drop In Step with Add-On
A bad bad design! Step was constructed so that additional and absolutely necessary weight was not able to be connected without being an obstruction. 270 lbs extra and in addition to what was filled into ladder itself and the cake step Will still not stay out in the pool. And if you are not careful when walking near it, you will stub your toes because of the weight bags sitting around the outside of the ladder. Try and return to seller dealer and the cost to return exceeded the potential refund. Close enough to return in my own vehicle and dealer said not a possibility. Avoid this product and avoid the seller. ... show more
