This was the first time our company purchased a printer for ID's. We used to send them out for their ID's, but we decided to purchase our own printer. After a lot of research done on my part and comparing different printers, I chose this model. And I'm so happy that I did, this model is extremely user friendly, very easy to set up and get running. I had everything working with in an hour and had our cards all designed and ready to go. this worked for the 1st 2 cards. but no way to print in color for the back of the card. second, the ink roller are cheap. after printing 2 cards... the colors smeared third, the software flagged messages that said no more ink... replace ink. after 5-6 cards? no more ink? forth, i opened the top cover, looked at the ink roller and it’s full. so i removed it and placed it back in. then it started printing again for 2-3 cards... now the cards came out empty. odd... so i removed and replaced it again. the cards then printed with a plastic film like sticker that is exposed. fifth, the ink roller then snapped apart from the other end of the roller. so i tried to fix it by taping the end back onto the roller. that didn’t help at all. stopped printing all together RETURN! ... show more

We purchased the Bondo Card printer after purchasing our badges from a third party. In the past, we used a label maker to put the employees names on the badges and it did not look very professional. The Bondo has been a lifesaver! The new badges look very professional and at this point, they seem to be very high quality and holding up well. We love the security of having the Caregivers photos on their badges as well. I did have to call tech support when I was setting up the software but they helped me quickly and everything was resolved in one phone call. I find the software easy to use as well. ... show more

The biggest issue we had was with the software. After contacting Magicard I was given the number to Bodno, the software provider. The tech there “took over” my computer and made several attempts to correct the problem. At one point we thought it was corrected but then it started printing the images about four times there correct size to fit the card. Back to Bodno again but it became ever so more obvious that the program and the printer were not communicating properly. When the cards printed correctly they were great. But this only happened occasionally. Eventually became frustrated with the printer film and the print program and simply sent it back through Amazon. Just to note, I have seen these printers work but with the more high end version. We may try one of the more expensive printers but they are at this point rather pricey! ... show more
