I didn't use the supplied anchors.. I installed mine on a concrete slab so I just used some 1/4" tapcons with washers that I already had laying around.. I used 6 2.5" for middle section and 4 1.25" for each post. Install probably took me about 20 min to put up. It's only been up for about 2 months and used maybe 12 times. I left it open/extended or exposed for 2 days. It rained one day so I left it open for another to dry. It will slightly start to sag in the middle when left open so I don't advise this to be used as a permanent enclosure. I'll also point out I have one of them fully extended, you can't make it any tighter, this one also sagged a bit in the middle as well. However it can be corrected by guiding it in right as I'll explain below... It is a canvas like material so I wouldn't recommend putting this around or leaving it open near a wood burning fire pit, hot ashes may burn through.. My only concern is how long the spring mechanism will hold up, only time will tell. That, being said, it's perfect for privacy around my hot tub! NOTE: When closing it, letting it retract in, try to use the top of the material to guide it in perfectly straight using the top of the internal spool, keeping it on track. My wife is only 5'2 so she was a little to short to guide it in as I mentioned. Failure to guide this in correctly will leave it looking sloppy the next time you use it, and it also won't seem closed all the way. This method will also help keep the material look straight when opening again as this will help correct the sag. Hopefully this will help some people out because there isn't any instructions for operation and maintenance..

This screen is awesome! We have a noisy, hateful neighbor who harasses us whenever we want to use our back yard and new swimming pool. This screen prevents us from having to deal with her and provides privacy. Highly recommend.

I was looking for something that I could use on my pool deck, which is around an above ground pool, that would block the neighbors on the side and in the back from looking over while we were on the deck. This was a perfect solution. It is quite heavy, and I do not anticipate any issues with it collapsing as I've read on other reviews. The fabric is light, but you can not see through it. The best part is I can retract either side when I don't need it up, so it does not take away from the beautiful deck and railings. This was a great purchase, and reasonably priced from the research I did prior to buying.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Attached the retractable screen to our Pergola to act as a windscreen for our patio grill area. Instead of bolting the 'receiving end' into the stamped concrete, we drilled through the metal and attached with 4 lag bolts to the pergola post. Works great! High Quality.

Loved the shade when I got it but it does not last long. In less than a year the pole started to break making the screen unusable. They do not offer replacement parts. I am very disappointed.

After buying this and installing it (which I like) found many similar products for much less I could have saved $50 or more. However, this works well. It seems to be built pretty sturdy. I use it to block wind mostly which is nice, also to provide temporary privacy. Instead of attaching to building I put in an 8 foot metal round fence post (pounded into ground with sledge hammer to 5 foot height) and attached it to that with fence post hardware. Works well. I have decided to put in a second one but will get a less expensive one. If it were cheaper it would have 5 stars

This seems to be a good quality product and exactly what I was looking for to block the view of my back patio from neighbors, however I have not been able to install due to not having the right tool- discovered I need a masonry drill to get this secured into the concrete...

I love this screen. We use it to keep the dog from looking out the glass door wall and barking and disturbing the neighbors. We live Inna condo. Construction is pretty durable. It's been up all summer so hoping the coming winter here in Michigan will not be an issue. I did not read the description very well to know this needs some sore of base to mount to. 8 ended up buying some 4x4's and a couple of 4x4 base mounts and creating my own post to mount to. We live in a condo, so the HOA has not bothered us as I have stained the 4x4 to match the deck and it looks fine. The dog can move the blinds all she wants, but she cannot see around this screen. Definitely a decent product. Also note the return policy on this. I would recommend this product if you are looking for some sort of privacy screen. Would work great around a hot tub as well.
