I got this rowing machine a month ago and first I was pretty impressed with the packaging. It came in two boxes and everything was protected really well, so there were no issues with what was received. Assembly was not too bad, although an extra set of hands was certainly nice to have. The instructions are pretty straight forward and nothing is too challenging for the assembly. Adding water to the tank was no issue. They include a small pump, but I just used a funnel to make it quicker. Overall the quality of the wood that was used, the overall construction, and the design are all top notch. I was really impressed as the quality far exceeds the price paid, so this is a very good value. This thing is simply beautiful, like artwork for your workout room! I set up the rowing machine in my sun room (pictured) and it is such a pleasure to work out now. The gentle swooshing of the water is actually calming. Much better than rowing machines that I've used at gyms before. Working out in the sun with trees and plants all around adds to the tranquil environment. For music I have been listening to "low-fi chill radio" on satellite radio. This is a really different workout experience compared to a treadmill or bike (both of which I also own). It's more relaxing, but as you are working your back, shoulders, arms, legs, and core it is still a good full body workout. I have been surprised at how much it really impacts the core, which I really need. Since I prefer this kind of workout I find I am doing it more often. I don't have to force myself to want to use the rowing machine, I enjoy it and wake up eager to get in 30 minutes of rowing before starting my day! I can't say that for the bike or treadmill!!! This is my first rowing machine, but I have wanted one for years. Now I wish I had taken the plunge and just bought one years ago! I really like the peacefulness of the workouts with this machine and the real paddling feeling from actually pulling paddles through the water in the tank. The quality of this machine also really exceeded expectations. I want to recommend that if you've been considering a rowing machine, then definitely get one with the water tank and consider this one as it is a really good value. ... show more

    • Assembly nightmare

This is my first rower and seems to be a good machine. The 3 stars are for assembly. There were no instructions in the box. There isn't a website for this company. I reached out through Amazon CS. The seller emails me a 2 part booklet. First part is a packing list that doesn't match most of the hardware I received. The 2nd is assembly instructions that showed how it should look, but no walk through on where to put washers, what size bolt to use, etc. My biggest challenges that ramped up time spent was the 2 zip bags of random unmarked hardware, the seat and the foot rest. The manual showed that the seat came assembled, mine was in 30 separate unmarked pieces. The metal plates that hold the foot rest in place were attached to the wrong side of the board, I had to remove and reattach appropriately. Overall, from unboxing to complete assembly, it took me roughly 2 hours, most of that was trial and error on correct hardware and finding extra tools to get the job done. If the hardware had been clearly labeled and bagged it would have been easy-peasy assembly. Extra tools needed: Allen wrench for 2-sided tightening, pliers, and a socket for small spaces would have been great for the upper foot board attachment (uses lock nuts in a very small, hard to maneuver space). I will update after some use. The seat seems to roll nice & smooth. I'm a newby to rowing so no knowledge of water vs magnet vs air. Water just seemed more my style and I like the sound. ... show more

I'm in the process of working out and losing weight but I'm still afraid of going out and sharing workout equipment with others. This Lovely nail rowing machine was brought it using my gym membership. It is fairly easy to put it together, my wife helped me and we spent like 25 mins. The rowing seat is comfortable and smooth. I bought this about 1 month ago and the seller shipped it super fast. It was delivered in 2 packages in about 3 days after ordering. Both packages came in good shape and all contains are protected well. As I checked before assembling, there is no dent or damage on any of the parts. The job of putting it together took me about 45 minutes. Overall it is easy to do but the sitting bench part is a little tricky. I got to read the manual very carefully to figure it out. About usage, it feels quite good. The foot pedals fit right in place and the whole thing is really smooth. My older son likes it the most and he is willing to ride it on a daily basis now. The wheels under the machine really helps to move and lift it up when not in use, saving a lot of space. Overall, love it and it worth the money. I would be more happy if the assemble procedure can be easier ;) ... show more

although the rower itself is adequate, the company is a bit flaky. There were no instructions packed and the water bowl was loose and had missing hardware causing it to leak all over the carpet during first use. Because I had no instructions I had to try to figure the right hardware placement so it took me almost three hours to assemble and then I had to go to Lowes to find he hardware for the water bowl. We purchased this item along with the assembly service. When the gentleman came to assemble the product today, he found that the item is defective and cannot be put together! Parts arrived totally stripped, some parts were missing, and holes are drilled too large in some areas to be able to fasten the rower together. We are really disappointed to have paid an additional $100 for assembly for a defective product. ... show more
