    • Switch May Be the Least of Your Problems!
Switch just fine, an exact replacement for a LG refrigerator. However, the root cause of the original switch failure is moisture and corrosion! I had to replace both the screw that holds it in and one of the spade terminals that connects electrically. The small spade terminal can be had from any auto parts store; get the red/pink insulation one (for smaller wire), then cut the insulation off, cut/strip back the end of the wire on the fridge, then crimp on the terminal. It then goes back into the plastic housing nicely and the plastic housing/terminal assembly plugs onto the new switch. I managed to match up the mounting screw to one in my spares supply; the original was so corroded I needed small channel lock pliers to get it loose. ... show more

    • The switch worked as advertised and saved me $65 service call
These switches go bad because drinks splash up and either corrode or gum up the switch. The best thing is to not to put ice in the cup after the fluid is in the cup. The switch is seamless install once you get to it which requires perseverance. No issues and good for the cost.

Perfect replacement part. Easy install. Hardest part is removing the face plate. Pry carefully. You will likely break a couple of plastic clips but that is ok. There are many to hold the face on when you reassemble.
