This mount has been on for about 3 weeks now and it's on there tight. Be very sure you're following instructions because I just skimmed them and had to remove the first time when I realized I'd installed the mount upside down. I had to use a hair dryer to remove it. Thought I'd have to buy more adhesive & then found that they send an extra, for idiots like me lol. Notice that chipped paint on the door, that came off with the misplaced mounting but I'm impressed that's all that came off because it's that tough. Very satisfied with my purchase, just wish I'd read the instructions completely before trying to install. I have confidence that this mount will be sturdy for quite some time.

I have purchased this item twice already within a couple weeks. I came home and found the item on the ground because the adhesive does not stick. We have a stucco house. It’s always modernly sunny warm in California however, depart item says the ad he’s supposed to stick to any surface as long as you leave it on for 24 hours before you put it on the ring doorbell I would not suggest buying this item. What’s the point of having a mount drillers bracket if it’s not gonna stick to our surface that it claims to save your money this is crap.

I had purchased another mounting kit that had adjustable angle and was not happy with it. It did not seem sturdy and it was difficult to install. This kit works perfectly with my Ring (second generation). I like the built in connection for charging. I have an outlet near my door so I can use it to charge the battery. My only concern is that it will stay attached since it relies on adhesive tape. So far it’s holding well.

Holds ring well without screwing into wood behind. It attaches with adhesive. However it was the wrong angle to see our porch well. But it did its job. We just needed a different device.
