It shows clear recordings or you can check it live from wherever you are on your phone. It has a doorbell function that rings the little box but it takes batteries. It also has a function that Rings your phone which is mainly what I use because it will ring when I'm not home and I can talk to whoever's at my door and they don't know if I'm home or not when I'm talking on my phone. Works just like the more expensive ones without putting out so much money. At night you can see in black and white and then day it's in color. I'm satisfied¹

EDIT: The seller shipped me another chime unit and I've had it for about a week or 2 now amd I'm VERY pleased now. Maybe I had a defective unit but they made it right! So far, so good. I bought the doorbell with the chime unit early this year and I've been having troubles with it. Sadly I've been way busy and haven't been able to write a review. #1. the doorbell would stop sending a doorbell ring and snapshot to my phone after a couple days of restarting the doorbell unit. When I first installed it, the doorbell press would ring my phone app and show a snapshot of whatever rang the bell. Now, I have to restart the doorbell for it to work properly but it only lasts a couple days and it stops sending the notification to my phone. It will ring the bell from the doorbell unit itself but my phone won't ring or get the snapshot. I only get a little push notification that it was rang, which does me no good unless I'm already on my phone which I'm usually not. #2. The little chime unit that came with the doorbell is defective. I have put 3 new sets of batteries into it and it causes the batteries to leak and corrode. inside you can see the effects of the battery leaking due to the chime unit dysfunction. I keep it inside in the back of the house so it can be heard but you would think its been underwater for years or something. When I change the batteries, it will work properly but again, that only lasts for a few days to a week. I don't have many visitors but when I do, I never know they're there unless I hear them knocking on the door because the doorbell isn't sending me notifications when the button is pressed. I have followed all the steps from the FAQ on the amazon page. The only thing that works is restarting the doorbell but it doesn't last. Nothing works for the chime unit other than replacing batteries which go dead very quickly with near zero use and batteries are way too expensive to have to swap them out every week. No idea why the chime box isn't rechargeable like the doorbell. Right now, its a good camera but that's it, not DOORBELL camera, just a camera, which I already have one for the front yard. I've contacted the seller and if the seller fixes this issue, I will happily change my rating but as of right now, I can't recommend this for what it claims to be.

Battery Life on the indoors unit is very short lived. That little unit eats batteries like crazy, and there’s no warning until your visitors tell you they press the outdoors unit and you didn’t hear that they were at your front door. The outdoor unit works great to let you see who came near your front door. But the indoors unit kills the main purpose. I wish they had sent a plug-in indoors unit.

Mubview makes great cams. This is my 5th one and never disappoints. The mubview app is easy to use. I do wish this comes as a set/kit with an angled mounting wedge. Buying it separately is too expensive.

I bought this and a ring one and liked the ring one better. The ring app was the deal breaker. If the ring wasn’t half off this would have won though. It’s a solid option for its price point and I liked the camera but not a fan of their app.
