Night vision is great, picture is crystal clear. It was really easy to install however you only get one set of "sticky" strip things so if you move you're SOL. I've had it installed almost a year and the sticky strips are still holding strong with no give. I only have to charge it maybe once a month. The motion sensor is kind of wonky. Wind can set it up but my idiot neighbors can stand in front of my door for 5 minutes before it alerts me. This isnt' always the case but it does happen. I'm not complaining considering the price compared to something like RING. The app is absolute garbage though. It takes up so much processor on your device that it can drag it down and cause you to have to reboot semi frequently. I thought maybe it was just my phone so I took it in to have it looked at and the tech said it was the app and the way it forcefully runs in the background unlike other similar apps, like RING. I deal with it by rebooting my phone every couple of days and it works great again. You do not need the service with this item, it will work through wifi and send you a picture of people at your front door or call you if they ring the bell. The call/doorbell ring can sometimes lag by quite a bit but taking into account how cheap this item is, it's a trade off. You can put a memory card in the camera for video but the still pics are enough for me. ... show more

I like that it had a clear picture during the day. It was easy to set up and love that you can use sd card instead of monthly fees being charged. It holds battery life pretty good and has features to set it to low or customize use. I don’t like that it only records 30 seconds video or bits and pieces of what’s happening. I thought you were able to record a whole day or so. It does glitch and catch when someone or something has passed and my WiFi is strong. But other than that it’s a good camera just need those to be a little longer and the sound it’s good ... show more

EDIT: The seller shipped me another chime unit and I've had it for about a week or 2 now amd I'm VERY pleased now. Maybe I had a defective unit but they made it right! So far, so good. I bought the doorbell with the chime unit early this year and I've been having troubles with it. Sadly I've been way busy and haven't been able to write a review. #1. the doorbell would stop sending a doorbell ring and snapshot to my phone after a couple days of restarting the doorbell unit. When I first installed it, the doorbell press would ring my phone app and show a snapshot of whatever rang the bell. Now, I have to restart the doorbell for it to work properly but it only lasts a couple days and it stops sending the notification to my phone. It will ring the bell from the doorbell unit itself but my phone won't ring or get the snapshot. I only get a little push notification that it was rang, which does me no good unless I'm already on my phone which I'm usually not. #2. The little chime unit that came with the doorbell is defective. I have put 3 new sets of batteries into it and it causes the batteries to leak and corrode. inside you can see the effects of the battery leaking due to the chime unit dysfunction. I keep it inside in the back of the house so it can be heard but you would think its been underwater for years or something. When I change the batteries, it will work properly but again, that only lasts for a few days to a week. I don't have many visitors but when I do, I never know they're there unless I hear them knocking on the door because the doorbell isn't sending me notifications when the button is pressed. I have followed all the steps from the FAQ on the amazon page. The only thing that works is restarting the doorbell but it doesn't last. Nothing works for the chime unit other than replacing batteries which go dead very quickly with near zero use and batteries are way too expensive to have to swap them out every week. No idea why the chime box isn't rechargeable like the doorbell. Right now, its a good camera but that's it, not DOORBELL camera, just a camera, which I already have one for the front yard. I've contacted the seller and if the seller fixes this issue, I will happily change my rating but as of right now, I can't recommend this for what it claims to be. ... show more

Pay 30 more and get something that works. This doorbell has next to no audio, always misses important events yet logs motion that doesnt happen. A car hit our porch. The pole it was attached to. It did not catch ANY of it. Cannot hear anything either. Doorbell was not hit or damaged. Also can't file insurance because no video. Would only recommend if you want to use it as just a doorbell for people to push and alert you. The camera does not pick up motion more than about 5 foot in front of it either and o ly records for a few second. If put memory card in then still will only record max of 30 seconds per clip. I regret this buy. Save yourself! ... show more

This camera was super easy to setup with the mobile app, and has fantastic battery life. The video and sound are clear, and you can specify areas of interest for monitoring. It will switch to night mode automatically, so no need to worry about lighting. The unit itself is quite large, which made it easier to mount. The camera does stick out quite far though, so make sure you check in the view in the app before you actually attach it anything permanently. The bracket is flat, so there's no way to adjust the angle unless you want to make a custom mount. Its fine as a doorbell, but will not work fast enough to help identify porch pirates which is why I got it. It has a motion sensor and, once it detects motion within the marked area, it will record in 6 second bursts. Hypothetically, that's great. In practice, though, the camera takes a few seconds to actually start recording once the sensor has been activated. This means that I will often see the backs of people's heads, rather than their faces.. unless they are walking to the door very slowly. ... show more

I love my doorbell camera. You don't have to subscribe to anything to use this one and it is rechargeable. So no wires to connect. It shows clear recordings or you can check it live from wherever you are on your phone. It has a doorbell function that rings the little box but it takes batteries. It also has a function that Rings your phone which is mainly what I use because it will ring when I'm not home and I can talk to whoever's at my door and they don't know if I'm home or not when I'm talking on my phone.
