TL;DR ... this doorbell is power flexible, uses AI effectively, has an attractive build/design, is easy to set up, and uses two good-quality cameras (in day or night). More useful details... Out of the box, this Eufy Doorbell can be installed to use its built-in battery or can be wired directly to your home. Nice. Installation, mounting, and app set up were all straightforward; took about 10 minutes. The hardest part was deciding where, and how high, to place the doorbell! (Eufy does suggest placement but YMMV.) The box came with everything you need, including a template decal that made placing and drilling a breeze; nice touch. The app is a bit clunky (dated?) but works well. Notifications to my phone have been instant. The doorbell itself has a built-in speaker; the doorbell "ding" is very loud and clear. (Another nice feature is that I will hear the doorbell ding in my AirPods if I'm wearing them.) The doorbell has two cameras, so I clearly see both the surrounding area AND the entire floor around my porch. I really like this feature. Visibility at night is good too. Setting detection zones is not intuitive but not hard to figure out. The doorbell can see VERY far in clear sunlight. Before setting up a zone, the camera flagged me at around 45 feet away. AI recognition is eerily accurate (a good thing) ... doorbell can identify animals, people, and packages. It will let you know if someone arrives, puts down a package, or picks up a package. So far, it has not misidentified anything. I haven't set up facial recognition yet; this will let the doorbell know if the person at the door is known/unknown. (Sounds like fun.) Battery: shows 4 out of 5 bars after 2 1/2 weeks of use; unfortunately, there is no percentage. (DO BETTER Eufy.) After 30 days of use (exactly), got a message from the app that the doorbell shut down due to low battery. BATTERY ONLY LAST 30 DAYS! Settings were left at default. :-( Doorbell works with the original Eufy HomeBase and HomeBase 2. The doorbell also works with Alexa and Google Assistant. I haven't use these features so don't know how well they work, or if a hub is required. No HomeKit support at this time (Again, DO BETTER Eufy!) btw ... you can always set up Homebridge or Hoobs to connect this Eufy doorbell to Apple's HomeKit; requires a bit more technical expertise.

We love using this. It works great. We went from Blink to Eufy, and here’s no looking back! Love the functionality. It detects and differentiates between people and packages. It’s easy to setup. Videos look great. There is no subscription. The battery lasts long enough. Vet happy. Highly recommended.

Great Product. Easy to connect, love the extra battery and that the batteries can be charged by themselves not needing to be charged while attached to the doorbell. Motion detection and packaged detection work great. Easy to connect to Homebase.

When I first bought this, it was quite a hassle to get this to connect to my wifi as it is only 2.4 Ghz, so even when I set up a wifi signal, there were issues with connection. After I got it to connect, it connects automatically now. The only concern that i have is that the batteries sometimes die pretty quickly, and it takes some time to load videos on the phone from local storage. The detection is good, especially with packages, but with people its too good. I live in an apartment complex and my neighbors would walk by and I would always get a notification, too often sometimes, Im sure theres a better way to configure it. I connected it to my smart home and I get notified on my speakers when someone is home, and I can pull up the video feed if i needed to. picture quality is great, as well as the viewing angles, I love how there is a camera specifically for detecting when packages or left or taken, which is amazing

So sad I wanted to like this doorbell and thought because I was paying a LOT for it that the quality would be great. However, I found it isn't really a good value for the money because I am having to replace the battery every other day. My camera is set to the lowest possible sensitivity and the battery optimize setting with motion detection. If I turn off the "all motion" setting to "only human" it doesn't record half of the time people are coming in and out. So it has to remain on "all motion". I thought Eufy would be a good brand but this unit shouldn't be taking so much battery usage. It was easy to mount and connect but I am just unhappy with battery power. Also, when a package is delivered it automatically says it was picked up even if it wasn't because it can't tell the difference when someone puts down mail or a package and when they pick it up so that doesnt work well. Half the time I check and it is turned off because the battery has already died even though I just changed it the day or two before. It isn't even summer yet so this every other day thing is already not good. I wish I could afford another one so I could return this one. Sorry eufy but you let me down.

The dual cameras provide excellent coverage, and the 2K Full HD resolution delivers sharp and clear video, even at night. The fact that there’s no monthly fee makes it an even better investment compared to other brands.
