  • Intelligent doorbell camera & no subscription fees
Ordered this AOSU Wireless Doorbell Camera after I couldn't tolerate the downward spiral and incompetence of the Blink Doorbell Camera. The AOSU was easy to set up. The Home Base paired immediately with the camera. I got a 132g micro sd card, formatted it on my desktop and then installed it in to the slot of the Home Base. Love the fact the AOSU can distinguish between animals, large trucks and humans. No more 2am false alarms when a stray dog or cat crosses the driveway or the the garbage truck goes by my home on the street. No storage subscription fees. However, you do have the opportunity to purchase storage from AOSU if you wish. Nice to have a choice whether or not to do that. Recently got an upgraded router/mesh point system and now have 6000 feet of coverage so that enabled me to plug the home base right where I wanted so I can hear the chime if someone pushes the doorbell. It has several different settings you can choose to use or turn off at your discretion. So far the doorbell has functioned lightning fast with notifications as designed. You can remove the doorbell easily and bring it inside to charge or charge it while it is still installed at your door. I have a battery pack and usb-c cord and did recharge it without taking it down. However, as the weather gets colder I will go ahead and bring it inside for recharging this winter. The removal tool is included and I keep it in the original box to find it quickly. I can't speak as to how long a charge will last, but I have read that the more features that are turned on will affect how long you go between recharging which makes sense. Literature included stated 180 days of battery life. That will be wonderful if true but at this point I just want fast notifications, reliable video of events and ease of use. That is the case up to now. My one recharging session from 66% to 100% was very fast. I would recommend this product. There are lots of videos on YouTube with more detailed information on features and installation but the AOSU included documentation in the box was very good. You can also access the manuals online from the AOSU site. ... show more

  • My local Amazon driver thinks I’m a wizard, and my neighbor’s cat is thoroughly offended.
Look, I didn’t buy the aosu 2K Wireless Doorbell to protect my crown jewels. I bought it because I wanted to know exactly which delivery driver throws my packages like an NFL quarterback executing a perfect spiral, and which one actually walks up the steps. After a few weeks of active deployment, here is my definitive breakdown of this digital doorman: The 2K video is so sharp I can see the exact moment the delivery guy realizes I’m watching him. I can read the expiration date on the coupon flyers the local Realtors leave on my handle. I can even count the individual whiskers on the neighborhood stray cat who comes to glare into the camera at 3:00 AM like he’s auditioning for a horror movie. 10/10 definition. My old doorbell camera used to alert me every single time a light breeze blew a leaf across the driveway. It had a panic attack whenever the sun changed positions. The Aosu AI actually knows the difference between a human being and a rogue tumbleweed. However, it did classify the mailman as a "package" once. Technically, he was carrying a package, so I guess the AI is just playing 4D chess. They claim a 180-day battery life. I’ve had it up for a month, and the battery meter has barely budged. However, if you have a lot of people going in and out of the house, expect to charge every 3 months, but the app alerts you once it gets to about 15% of charge remaining. Still, even charging once every few months, my only concern is that by the time it actually needs a charge, I will have completely forgotten where I hid the charging cable. That’s a "Future Me" problem. The absolute best feature? Local storage. No monthly subscription fees just to see who rang my bell yesterday. No paying $$$ every month to a massive corporation just to watch a video of my own porch. The HomeBase sits inside, chugging along, keeping my data safe from the cloud and my wallet safe from recurring charges. It works flawlessly with Alexa, setup didn't require me to accidentally electrocute myself with old doorbell wiring, and the two-way audio is clear enough that I can tell solicitors to “No thank you, please leave” while I am sitting on my couch in my underwear eating cereal. So, if you want to turn your front porch into a high-definition reality TV show starring your delivery drivers and local wildlife—without paying a monthly subscription fee—buy this thing immediately! ... show more

  • Great Camera with Great Field of View And Awesome Customer Support Great Camera with Great Field of View And Awesome Customer Support
This is a great camera. It was not very expensive and set up - connecting with my other four Aosu cameras - was very simple. The picture is very clear. The night vision feature is great and of course you can talk through the camera. Since I have a gated yard and no one comes to my front door, I set up the camera as an indoor security camera. The wide field of view covers 2 patio doors, the foyer at the front door, the stairs to the second floor, the living room, dining room and part of the kitchen. Anyone moving through the first floor is captured. Even though I am not using the camera as intended, I think it is perfect for peace of mind for me - especially considering the vent-a-hood tried to burn my house down when it was less than a year old. The old camera system captured the first few second of the fire (less than a minute) as the fire grew until smoke covered the camera. I have upgraded to Aosu because of the picture quality, design features and the app on my phone. I can keep an eye on the house from anywhere and have the peace of mind I need. There doesn't seem to be any lag in the video, and I have not seen the dogs on camera, so false detection doesn't seem to happen. I think all of the units I bought are built well - sturdy and built to last. Update! The camera battery died - apparently not just ran out of juice - DIED! I contacted customer Support about replacing the battery and they sent me a NEW COMPLETE Doorbell Camera and Base!! Talk about Great Service! From first contact to setting up the new camera in my living room was less than 2 weeks. ... show more

  • Works fine, weird size
I was looking for a camera for my new apartment and I just couldn't get this one to work. It's not really the cameras fault. It is taller than other cameras so finding a holder was really difficult. I wanted a camera that didn't require a subscription. I also needed a non-permanent installation because I rent. My front door is set back into the door frame so if I used a door clamp style holder, the picture would get cut off. Plus there was only 1 holder I could find that would fit this camera and my door. My apartment has dutch lap siding which means I couldn't find a holder to fit the siding and the camera. I tried using command strips to mount it to the door itself which worked fine. But it still didn't catch any movement unless it happened directly in front of the camera. So it would alert to me going in and out of my apartment but not the mail carrier going up and down the stairs off to the right. Could be the camera, could be the location of installation. Setting the camera up in the app was really easy. It connected to the hub quickly. I did find out that you can't have 2 cameras on the same hub. So if you had a front and back door, you'd have to get 2 separate cameras and hubs. I was also able to delete the information off the app very easily when I decided to return it. The picture is good, no complaints there. I tried the doorbell and it worked well, the hub is pretty loud. You can change the volume in the app. There's a chat in the app to ask questions and they respond pretty quickly. You have to buy a separate microSD card for the hub to store video which I liked. In the end the camera was fine, price was affordable, no subscription, but a weird size. Plus it just didn't work in my situation. I think what I really want are security cameras. ... show more

  • Replaces Ring Without Subscription Replaces Ring Without Subscription
I liked the Ring video doorbell except that it doesn’t really work unless you buy a $100/yr subscription. After a couple of failed searches, I found the AOSU Video Doorbell Pro with everything I need. This unit does not require a subscription and has the touch and feel of quality. It does require a one-time, $10 purchase of a Micro SD card for local storage of videos. A subscription service is available if you want to store data in the cloud. The Video Doorbell Pro comes with a signal-enhanced base station repeater that also rings when the doorbell is activated. I installed the base station near my router, 30 feet from the front door and down a level. No problem receiving a clear signal for the 2.5GHz channel on my router. The base station plugs into any outlet, so it can be put almost anywhere. The Video Doorbell function provides a crystal clear image of events near and far. If I hear something outside and want to see what is going on, I can open the front door camera, zoom, and pan to view the entire block. The door can be answered by your voice or a device-generated voice. Two-way voice communication with a visitor from your phone can save you a trip to the door, and that is a feature I like. The app provides for guided installation of the product, as well as sharing with other family members. If you are like me-- dumb enough to need tech support, but smart enough to use it, you are in for a treat. AOSU has the best product support I have ever encountered. They are quick, knowledgeable, and have answers for my poorly framed questions. I recommend this company and their Video Doorbell Pro. ... show more

  • No, just no...
Update: July 22nd,2022 purchased and it died out around the 19th of Feb 2026. Disappointed. Right before I noticed they restricted the storage they gave I think to 30 days a week prior. Imagine a limit on something that had been unlimited local storage all the while. Anywho, I will not repurchase from them again because it didn't always recognize that people came on the porch, let alone ring the doorbell at times, delayed and mostly because I don't want something that's taking away things it once gave. U need something durable. Update: 5/27 Received replacement 5/15 and today it's not loading live feed, keeps failing and basically you press that or events it goes as if it's going to do something and refreshes to where you were before. Even after an update 12 days later, this is insane. I even uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache and storage wifi strong, when I relocate I'll go with a different brand this is disappointing. Even if it fixes itself and that's a big "IF" I'm truly soured behind this. Support is a joke. If my connection despite no other devices doing this? Smh. Update: May 5,2023. Purchased July 2022. First off it went offline 8ish p.m and in the middle of the night a fire was next door. At times I randomly check live to make sure all is well, but I took a Benadryl it put me on my back until another neighbors loud music woke me up 7 ish a.m. I check the camera honestly in hopes that they're moving lo and behold I noticed offline I'm thinking easy peasy until I noticed I never heard this thing talking or doing dialing like calls to the doorbell itself and continuously. I forget my wifi from the device and my internet network, following the prompt about reconnecting. It reconnected shorty before making these beeps and dial ringing sequence. It's no longer functioning. It will not connect. This device seems to not have a long life span before acting crazy. Not even a year and it's completely malfunctioning. I do NOT recommend it as a long term investment, I like to spend once for something to work continuously not spend for it to work then clunk out. Oh and let me tell you, days seem to be missing but yesterday's recordings were picked up until 8p.m ish so somethings off with that as well. I'm the only one who has access and I do delete but I hadn't started. I no longer recommend this. I liked it for the free storage but for now I unplugged it and will attempt maybe two more times before I shop a different more stable brand. ******** I really can't say the product is 5 stars but it has potential. The good thing is it comes with a 8gig storage card at no charge already inserted and local storage. I like the voice changer and this came in handy because although I originally purchased this for delivery purposes I saw much more. I'm not sure what was going on around here but my video caught two people walking around with guns and I was so floored. I cut the ring light off so they didn't see but boy oh boy. There isn't a monthly fee either which was a motivator and a 5. The cons are you'll need sticky tape that 3 m stuff that doesn't come included. I live in a complex and not trying to damage the door but so far it's holding although I was terrified it wouldn't. I cannot stand that it's soooooo loud when you replay that the world could here it because there is NO volume control and no matter what that can't be adjusted so you have to mute. There is no fast forward or rewind. If they allow volume control, ESPECIALLY volume control so the entire block doesn't hear it and allow for rewind and fast forward it could be a 5 star product. I will recommend as long as you're aware of the cons and fine with it. ... show more

  • Great “no monthly fee” cameras and EXCELLENT customer service!
I purchased this 2K security camera system (3 outdoor cameras with solar panels and this doorbell camera) almost 2 years ago because I wanted a camera with internal memory so I didn’t have to pay a monthly fee to see my video recordings. The setup was straightforward and easy, but I immediately noticed an issue with the sound feed to one of the cameras. It was easy to reach out to their customer service via the app, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they responded. The support team was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help resolve the problem. Despite trying a few troubleshooting steps, the issue persisted. Without hesitation, they offered to replace the equipment. The replacement process was seamless, and the new camera has been working flawlessly ever since. Then recently, I was having an issue with downloading and replaying the video clips on my doorbell camera. I reached out to Aosu customer service again and was once again impressed with them. They sent me a new doorbell after a year and a half and I have had no issues with it since. The video feed on the Aosu 2K cameras and doorbell are very clear with a beautiful picture and the sound is very clear. There are many options on the motion section range and you can even tell it to record only humans. I am very pleased with the quality of these cameras and my choice to purchase a whole outdoor set to cover my property from them. It’s rare to find a company that stands so firmly behind their product, and I’m impressed by their commitment to customer satisfaction. If you’re looking for a reliable security camera backed by excellent customer service, I highly recommend this one. ... show more
