Features

  • The Nest Doorbell has built-in intelligence and can tell the difference between a person, package, animal, and vehicles and send you an alert in the Google Home app[1], no subscription required
  • Easily check in from anywhere 24/7 with live HD video with HDR and night vision[1]; see what you missed with 3 hours of free event video history[2]; or add a Nest Aware subscription (sold separately) for up to 60 days of event video history[3]
  • If your Wi-Fi goes down or theres a power outage, the Nest Doorbell will store up to 1 hour of recorded events so you can see what you missed[4]
  • The Nest Doorbell is easy to install wired or wire-free; the built-in battery means it works with any door, or connect it to your existing doorbell wires with the included wire connector
  • Whether you choose battery or wired installation, the battery-powered Nest Doorbell cannot continuously record 24/7 video history, even with a Nest Aware subscription
  • Talk and listen to visitors at your door, even if youre away[1]; use the Google Home app to say youll be right there, ask a delivery person to leave your package, or respond to visitors with pre-recorded messages[1]
  • The Nest Doorbell requires the Google Home app and a free Google account; its not compatible with the Nest app or the Nest site
  • The Nest Doorbell camera has a tall vertical field of view, so its easier to see people head to toe or packages left on the ground; you can also keep a close eye on high-traffic areas with Activity Zones

  • Great Design and Custom Alerts - Smart Choice for a Modern Home
Color: Ash Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Nest Doorbell - Wired
We’ve had this doorbell for a few months now, and I’m really happy with how it’s been performing. The dark ash color fits seamlessly with the modern aesthetic of our house. I appreciate the sleek, understated look that doesn't scream "Look at me! I'm a Smart Doorbell". It fits in with the look of my home without obnoxiously standing out and it compliments the black accents on our exterior. Here’s what’s been great about it: Tall Aspect Ratio: This is a game-changer. Although I miss out on the wide left to right field of view of a traditional camera - for a doorbell I have found this to be a preferred and optimal choice. With its vertical design, I can see more than just someone standing at the door. I’m able to spot packages on the ground, which has been a lifesaver with the number of deliveries I get, and it’s easier to catch visitors' (head to toe) as they approach. Custom Alerts: I really appreciate how specific the alerts are. The algorithms baked in to the detection software are able to discern between a person, vehicle, animal, or package crossing the field of view, and I get a notification for exactly what I need to know. Beyond just identifying a person, the Nest Aware software goes a step further to recognize familiar faces and tells me if it is someone I know, or an unrecognized person. This makes a huge difference in cutting down on unnecessary alerts, like when a passing car triggers a motion warning. It also makes sure I take notice when its an unknown person at the door and not just one of my kids running around. Although the advanced Nest Aware package costs 15 dollars a month, I find the 24x7 coverage and advanced detection features to be worth the piece of mind it provides. Video History: The 3-hour free video history is perfect for those that just want to check in on missed events. Personally I chose to step up to the 10 days of 24x7 coverage to provide full access to events and surrounding video coverage. Its always better to have it and not need it, then to need it and it not be there. The video quality is crisp enough to clearly identify people or events, which is reassuring when something’s off at the door or front yard. I also love that I can check and manage all of this through the Google Home app anytime. Easy Setup: It replaced our old wired doorbell without any issues. It simply requires two wires for the power, and two screws to attach it to the wall in front of my door. My transformer was already compatible and provided the right amount of power to run the doorbell. Just like a regular doorbell, a press of the button activates my doorbell chime. This doorbell goes even further though by also announcing the event and playing a chime through my google home speakers and sending a push notification (with video) to my phone. I like this because I can clearly know when someone is at the door no matter where I am at in the house. Some notes: Disappointingly it doesn't support the Nest app which is where I have typically managed my other Nest cameras I have installed around the house (so if used to that interface, it’s a bit of an adjustment), but the Google Home app has been easy to use, and I was able to transition all of my legacy Nest devices over. If Homekit is the preferred smart home over Google - there is a way to integrate the doorbell and camera feed through either a custom homebridge server or through an additional device called Starling Home hub. I personally have the Starling device and it allows the doorbell to integrate perfectly into my existing Homekit Smart Home setup - including alerts, notifications, and live video feed. For anyone looking for a simple, reliable doorbell camera with great video quality and custom alerts, this has been a solid pick. I would definitely recommend it if you're into a more modern, functional design that works out of the box with Google or Alexa devices. ... show more

  • Works with equipment already in home
Color: Linen Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Nest Doorbell - Wired
Replaced a 1st generation Nest Doorbell because the bell did not ring in the house. Zero problems with this one. Works with the bells in the house. Easy to set up. Better video too.

  • Best video doorbell around!
Color: Snow Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Nest Doorbell - Battery
When we moved into our new apartment there was no doorbell or peephole at the front door. I compared many brands of video doorbell before landing on the Google Nest. I've been completely satisfied with the Nest through 6 months of use. Through the Google Home app you are able to watch live and get notified by motion detection whenever somebody walks up to your door. The camera and sound quality is great with no lag and you can access the last 3 hours of recording for free. I know Google offers a subscription to increase the storage capacity, but personally I don't think it's necessary. I got the battery version because I wasn't able to install electrical in a rental unit, but the battery life is great. I typically charge it every other month and it takes only a few hours to fully recharge via any USB-C cord. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great popular choice - but warning that makes it potentially unusable and unreturnable.
Color: Snow Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: Nest Doorbell - Battery
This is a product with a flaw you might want to overlook if it's on sale, or because it works so great at a friends home. The flaw is so serious, I want to give you the most warning possible, since it's a good product, they are very committed to covering up the issue, not acknowledging it within their support structure in manuals or online. They hide this because they cannot solve it, and will quietly solve it before the next design series so they never have to admit it happened. After the first time you set it up beautifully - you will never be able to change any aspect of the setup arrangements codes, location or information ever again. So, if you are 100% sure you aren't moving within ten years, and never will have any need to change the password on your home internet access or server for security reasons - then go ahead and get it. IT's cool. DETAILS: It cannot be reprogrammed to "factory settings" which is the last ditch effort we make with electronics that fail us while still in perfect condition. Resets DO work.. NOT WITH GOOGLE NEST doorbell cameras. Logical explanations. Two companies merged, companies where safety is important, so they can't trust each other with access to their previous customers, so you never can combine your security home system in GOOGLE HOME completely - likely EVER. I have devoted MOST OF 2025 to this problem - MONTHS. I am an IT person. I have help and resources, I take care of elder vulnerable clients with money and valuable possessions. I own SEVEN cameras, doorbells and video security devices for ONE SINGLE ADDRESS IN A GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD. Did you know the "doorbell camera" concept does not come with AN ACTUAL DOORBELL? It's cute as hell to look at and press the fancy button. But there's no doorbell anywhere or on the other side. We live in the upside down. Just be aware - who will you call when the complicated professional way to make your cameras work again after you change the password - doesn't work at all. ... show more
