This is small so you can place it where you need it to get a great working view. The plastic covers are mostly FDM 3d printed but are done nice - very well cleaned up nylon. Now, i like others had concerns it will have run out or be mounted crooked. happy to say it is all affixed well and the parts are manufactured well. It tracks straight down with no axis deviation. Mine came fully assembled and well oiled, does not appear to be a return so maybe the recent batches are pre assembled - one less thing you have to do. Onto the drilling precision because thats the only thing that matters really - it is great. i needed something for 1- 4mm work and this is great. Big presses always have some run out which is a problem at those small size holes but this has virtually none. I was able to get precision into plastic down to 0.01-0.02mm which is absolutely impressive! for instance my big press has a run out of 0.1 and up to 0.3 if i get sloppy with the setup. If you need to work on anything that will rotate, this tolerance is night and day! The vise that comes with this is meh, get yourself a better one. The set screw for the height stop is 2.5mm hole but the included hex is 2.4mm so there is some potential for stripping there. use a 2.5mm all in all absolutely recommend it for small precision work. this is not for steel! not even for thick aluminum bars. i wouldnt go past 5mm t6 stock. the motor has a lot of power even at the lowest rpm so if you are having issues, you are drilling something in a way that should not be done on this.

For small drill sizes it is perfect, my wife uses it for jewelry making. Easy to use, the included vice, it works ok, but I think I will find one that is a bit more robust. For light duty projects this drill is great

Incredible that you can get a machine like this for less than $100. And yes, I purchased it, and no I am not a spam/paid reviewer. It is well designed and well built. It is not supposed to be a precision industrial or laboratory grade tool, it is a hobby grade tool and for that purpose it is excellent value for the money. I was going to get a Dremel tool drill press stand, but got this instead and glad I did. Any drill press device with a mount for a drill, is vulnerable to the drill being installed off axis, resulting in wobble. This drill press is well aligned - no wobble. Only negative comment is about the instructions. There are none. You are directed to view the video for that purpose. Which is fine - is a well done video. But what happens in a year or two when the product is no longer on Amazon. So, I used the Windows Snipping Tool to record the video, and now I have my own MP4 copy. Would have been nice to just be able to download the video from Amazon.

This is a cheaply made toy drill press suitable for hobbyist use. The adjustments are by manual set screws and it is difficult to make precise adjustments. The stage vice is next to useless for making extremely fine adjustments and I ended up buying an adjustable microscope stage micrometer to adapt to the unit. The instructions are poor. All that said, I purchased this unit to make 36 0.6mm holes in precise orientation for a single project and, with the addition of the stage micrometer and newly purchased drill bits, it worked like a charm!

For years I have used a high precision drill for my modelbuilding hobby, but I have reached a stage of life where I can no longer justify having a $2,400 tool sitting on my workbench. So, I sold it and bought this one, which is not as precise but works fine for my purposes. I have seen several similar designs online, but they all shipped from China. This one arrived in two days from a U.S. address. It runs on 24 volts but comes with a power block that plugs into 120 volts. The power block has a slide switch with seven different settings to control the speed of the drill. The quarter-inch chuck will hold drills down to about #70. For smaller sizes, I use carbide drills with 1/8" shanks. This drill is very quiet and stable, with a heavy cast steel base. It also takes up a lot less space on my bench than my old one.

Great little drill press. We purchased the little drill press for some smaller items we needed to drill. For what we need the little drill press is great. It's already drilled over 70 holes. Only real complaint about it is the little drill press vice that came with it. It does not work very well, it had 2 holes miss threaded. So for now, we are happy with the drill itself but not the little vice.
