I have several fabric covered hoses like this made by Zero G. This one looks and feels almost identical to the Zero G hoses. It does not shrink like some other non-traditional hoses, but it is easy to drain and roll up, lightweight and seems pretty durable. I use shorter versions of this for my RV general purpose hose. It is not rated to be drinking water safe so I don't use them for that. But the ability to roll it up and not have to fight with it like a plastic or rubber hose is really nice, especially in cold weather. The only caution I have to offer is be careful of the aluminum connectors, whether on these or any other hoses. They work fine, but if you leave a nozzle or hose bib attached to them they can be very difficult to remove. I guess some sort of electrolysis takes place between the two different metals. I usually add a little grease to the fittings before I connect them to prevent this from happening.

The hose came in a small roll, and it looked too skinny to be a 5/8” inside diameter hose. No way that enough water could flow through this little hose I thought. Once uncoiled and pressurized however, it came to life, with full flow, the outside diameter closer to 7/8”. I coiled it back up loosely on a wall-mounted hose rack while still pressurized, and it did not kink or resist coiling like a plastic or rubber hose. Even at 100’ long it was not unwieldy at all. I realized that since the hose did not have to be so thick like the traditional style, it can have a larger inside diameter while staying compact and lightweight. It is really delightful to use this hose since it does not kink or form loops that hinder your movements. Like a faithful dog, it just follows you wherever you go, and does not get stuck. Now for the bad part: The aluminum fittings are not a good match for this otherwise excellent hose. Aluminum fittings will seize on brass spigots if left on for any length of time. I know since I’ve had to hacksaw off more aluminum fittings than I care to admit. A little grease, or better yet, anti-seize compound could help, but really the manufacturer should use brass fittings for a hose of this quality. Another disadvantage for a hose of this type is that it is impossible to repair should it develop a leak. That’s just a consequence we have to live with. Still, I give this hose two thumbs up.

Flexible, kink-free, lightweight. This is one hose that lives up to the hype. This is an incredible hose and I have lots of experience with others (that are not incredible.) In my basement at the present time are two metal hoses, two expanding hoses and three hoses that claim they are kink free. They are not. I love this hose because it is so easy to handle and it works. You can even step on it - water still comes out. And how great to be able to easily carry as 100' hose with one hand. And when you turn on the water - water comes out immediately - there is no waiting or stretching out for expansion. I no longer dread putting the hose away either as it is so easy to gather up and wind on the hose holder. I got this specifically for its PSI strength as I planned to use it only with my high powered pressure washer. This is now my every day, every reason hose. I love it. If other hoses give you a fit - please consider getting one of these. So glad that I did. Now I want to know if it is safe to drink water from this hose. Does anyone know?

Very nice hose! Super long. I have a fairly high pressure out of the faucet, and this hose has been able to handle it well. The hose does kink occasionally but it's easy to shake it loose. The build seems to be very sturdy even after I stomped on it accidentally and nothing happened. The fittings are good and don't leak. THey have good strain relief on either ends. The quality of the fittings are great. So far no leaks. The hose can take up quite a lot of room so do consider draining the hose before storing it. And for storing consider rolling it up in some kind of a hose box or hose hangar.

Around 7lbs and stores in a small space, this hose has a durable woven cover with a tight weave that doesn’t snag on rough objects and is fairly easy to keep clean. Stitching is tight and the aluminum connectors are protected with a decent thickness strain relief. At 100ft of very flexible hose, it has not been uncommon for me to end up with a tangle or knot that takes a bit to work out if not stored carefully. When laying out before use the hose will fold and bend having no real internal support. However once water pressure is introduced, the kinks and folds generally self correct. Stepping on the hose can impede water flow but it is difficult to fully stop flow with a kink.

I needed this hose for my vegetable garden, and it did not disappoint. It's very easy to maneuver around the tight space, seems very sturdy, and the black color does a better job of disappearing in the space. I tend to leave my vegetable garden hose out all year, so that was important. The metal ends were easy to attach and my connections are secure and leak-free. It's a luxury to have a hose dedicated to the areas where it is used most often, so I plan to pick up another one to leave on my deck. Very happy with this!

I am picky about my garden hoses, and have tried many. This one is quite different, in that it is *flat* when empty. It doesn't expand like the new popular ones (which I don't like), but rather rounds out immediately as it fills. It rounds to just short of completely circular, but if the water is not allowed to flow out, then is does fill to completely round. The material is extremely tough, and I can't imagine that it would ever burst, rip, or tear. This makes dragging it around corners much safer than with others. When it is empty, thus flat, it gets jumbled up, semi-tangled, quickly, but it also untangles very, very easily. Being flat, it takes up MUCH less storage space than round hoses. I like it, and will update this review if that changes. I recommend it.

This is a sturdy hose. Long and flexible. I had to put some plumbers tape at the faucet to prevent leakage. I've gone through a few expandable hoses that leak after a few months. Hoping this non-expandable hose lasts for several seasons!
