Features

  • Cloud Unicorn Hair Tint: Make all your fantasy color dreams come true with Lime Crime Unicorn Hair Tints, a DIY-friendly, damage-free hair color. Cloud will deposit a light wash of periwinkle blue, adding a kick of cool to your hair... all from the comfort of your own home. Hair Tints are not recommended for dark hair.

  • Genie = Great, Bunny = nothing
Color: Bunny (Pastel Baby Pink)
I tried the Genie color first. Which is a deep purple. My hair is nearly all silver, and I left it in my hair for three hours. It was darker and more nylon looking than I wanted, it looked like a wig, but it was a fantastic, intense color. Over the next couple shampoos, it faded to a lovely, soft purple and now as you can see in the photo it’s a lovely lavender. Then I tried Bunny, which is depicted as a kind of intense baby pink. Sadly, it did not cover any of my silver, it’s as though I didn’t use any hair color at all, and I left it in for 3 1/2 hours! So if you want an intense purple go with Genie. But don’t waste your money on the Bunny color. I’m now going to try the Chocolate Cherry which looks like an intense dark pink. And see if that’ll give me a nice base at my roots and maybe deepen the lavender. Stay tuned I’ll update my review… ... show more

  • Sext was not worth it
I bought three jars for my long hair of the tint “Sext”. The color looked great in the jar, product smells amazing. I used two and a half jars to cover my hair. I had bleached it to a mostly white blond with a little yellow in the roots. The roots were more red, which I was expecting and the color looked nice after the first wash. After the second wash, I started seeing green. I’m fixing this with Keracolor rose gold conditioner but this was such a waste of money. I knew as a tint it wouldn’t last long but I’m shocked that it started turning green. I’ve never had a color turn like that before and I’ve been bleaching my hair and dying it for the past 15 years. Normally purples fade to pink when I’ve dyed them but this one faded to a gray-green and so fast. I washed it a third time to get some of the color out and I’m shocked at how it’s fading. Hopefully someone else has a better experience. I don’t mind if the colors fades but not if it fades to such a bad color. I would try pink but the price makes it not worth it since it will rinse out by the second wash. ... show more

  • It's a Tint
This is a tint, so understand that it's not supposed to color your hair for a long period of time. It's not going to be a deep color. It's really only going to work well on platinum hair, otherwise some colors will look weird or not even show up at all. I suggest using a semi permanent dye if you want deep long lasting color. To make sure it does not come out patchy, use it on washed, unconditioned, dry hair, and make sure to saturate well by combing it through. Leave it in for at least 30 mins, but I leave it in for up to 4 hours. I use tints because they don't stain my hair, and I can change the color often without bleach washing. If I don't like the color, it washes out quickly. The scent is strong and may be unpleasant to some, so make sure to rinse it out well. ... show more

  • This one color “sext” is off-do a strand test
I will start by saying I have tried 4 other lime crime colors in the past few months and they are generally fantastic , and they have always shown up very close to the colors on the box. I was very excited for this color, I didn’t think I needed a strand test as my hair was a level 9/10 and in ok condition . I did a split dye with “mochi” on the other part of my head. “Sext” is a smokier pink on the box, but it turned mostly light patchy brown with a hint of red on my hair. It was on for 3 hours, just like the mochi side at the same time. The mochi side looks awesome. I am very unhappy with the “sext” color, it looks terrible in real life ( not sure the pic captures it) . I now have a brownish and purple split dye instead of the pink and purple and it is gross looking. Still trying to figure out the best way to fix it, either a gentle color remover or maybe putting a brighter pink over it. Learn from my mistake, do a strand test or at least a swatch to see how the “smokier” colors come out for you. I am very disappointed and will be looking into other brands of dye for my next look. ***update** did some vitamin c treatments (my usually pretty effective way to remove semi/demi permanent colors) and they took all the remaining pink out and now I am left with a horrid green mud color. Not the kind of color you can leave the house with, I’m going to have to try to fix it again ASAP. I guess it has strong green or blue mixed in there as an undertone. I didn’t have problems with removing other colors from this line. I would strongly suggest not using the color “sext” , or if you risk it please do a strand test for the love of all that is holy! Off to find a new color that may cover the current “swamp” situation. ... show more

  • I loved the initial color
Color: Oyster (Lavender Grey)
I loved the initial color, it was exactly what I was looking for. However this washes out very quickly, which I knew. I wasn't expecting it to wash out to a weird green color, that just would NOT wash out. Normally this washes out completely fairly quickly, but with this, the purple/ grey washed out quickly leaving me green for a very long time. In fact I ended up pulling the color out or id still be green. It's a great color, smells great, and does not damage the hair, just be aware it will wash out to a seafoam green. ... show more

  • Does Not work on hair darker than dark blonde
Color: Oyster (Lavender Grey)
I have what many would call dirty dish water blonde and left it on for 2 hours as directed by the directions, and had no sign of color. I used the shade Lavender Gray a gorgeous shade; I'm crushed... however the product does work on lighter hair, is of a wonderful consistency and scent.

  • Perfect pink
Color: Bunny (Pastel Baby Pink)
It’s really only for white blonde hair. Which in their descriptions they are very clear about that. So people who are trying it on anything darker than a level 9 blonde will most likely not get what they want. Also recommend leaving it on the full 40 minutes since its such a pale pink. This is my favorite go to pink hair dye, its the perfect shade for me. It’s not too peachy and not too lavender. It fades a little faster but it’s a tint, so I recommend buying a couple if you plan on having pink for awhile. This dye is user friendly and smells really pretty compared to other pink dyes. I get asked all the time what dye I use and how I got that color. ... show more
