Works wonderfully! I plugged it in when I got to work, and my soup was nice and hot for lunch! Side note, that the soup was frozen this morning, so while it won’t cook anything it easily heats up well enough to unfreeze your lunch. It heated the food to a proper serving temperature in a reasonable time and held it there until I was ready to eat. This is the perfect solution my wife and I were looking for so that she could have warm lunches in her office. Her office space is small and we don't use microwave devices in general, so this compact, easy clean, little bit of wonder is perfect. Only negative might be the food travel container (which slides right into the crock pot) has a coated aluminum finish AND you cannot buy extra containers. I bought this Crock-Pot electric lunch box thinking, “Cool, warm leftovers.” What I didn’t realize is that I was purchasing a portable morale booster, conversation starter, and winter survival tool. First of all, it works and it works well. I load it up with hearty meals (chili, stew, pasta, leftovers that deserve better than a sad microwave) and by lunchtime it’s warm, cozy, and ready to go. On cold winter days, opening this thing feels like cracking open a little food hug. It’s absurdly convenient. Plug it in, forget about it, and hours later your food is still warm without being nuked into rubber. Spill-free, dishwasher-safe, and zero weird smells floating around the break room. Lastly, people will talk about it. Coworkers will ask questions. They will lean over your desk and say things like, “Is that a Crock-Pot?” Yes. Yes it is. And yes, you should be jealous. It was such a hit that we bought a second one as a white elephant gift for my office holiday party and it absolutely stole the show. Grown adults fighting over an electric lunch box should tell you everything you need to know.
