Very happy with this purchase, the height and quality is great. It definitely takes two adults to put together, it wasn’t very easy. I did appreciate that the instructions came with YouTube follow along videos- that helped. We couldn’t get the sand in the base though, even using different sized funnels, so we ended up filling the base with water and then placing sand bags on top of the base. Good value for your money. Not the easiest to assemble. We put sand in ours and it still not as sturdy as we’d like, but a brick or weighted bucket on the back does the trick. Height adjustable just as described. Overall good product!! We’ve enjoyed it. Recommend!!

First off, you WILL need 2 people to put this together. I am quite good at building things, and this made me say many "bad" words even with help from my wife haha! It is not an easy build by any means. That said, it is a very sturdy and well built hoop so long as you do it right. My kids love it! Ours did have a small pin-hole in the water/sand tank. I had put water in it until I could pick up some sand and it started shooting out of the hole like a water gun. It was easy enough to seal it with some sealant I had around, but I felt it was worth noting. Also, with sand, it wouldn't have been an issue at all. Overall, it's a great hoop for the price. Just be prepared for a difficult build, and definitely have a helping hand. I'm not sure that it's possible to build without someone else to hold certain parts certain ways while you fasten them together. ... show more

The materials they used in this product have high quality! Backboard is 44" and enough size! A solid and durable basketball hoop! Beside, the company has a good customer care! Definitely deserve 5 stars. I only have one feedback, the instruction manual could be simplified for the assembly!

I needed a full height goal for my teen son to practice. We got this as a Christmas gift for him because we needed something mobile. READ THE DIRECTIONS. There are 2 poles that MUST go in a specific manner and if you put it together wrong, it's hard to fix. As a matter of fact, my husband, his friend, and my son turned a bad situation to worse (involving ratchet straps, my car, and a tree), so we had to call the company for new poles. They were incredibly responsive and had new poles and hardware to us in less than a week. Awesome basketball goal! Lifetime provides great products that they stand behind! Its perfect the backboard is a good size, height is perfect, the top screw that comes in the package is to short (top screw) and the bottom one came with the screw grooves messed up but a quick trip to home depot for replacement screws $2 easy fix it was ready to go filled it with water and so far so good holding steady in high winds, I recommend this set up. ... show more

This is a very good basketball hoop if you are able to assemble it. The assembly process was going easy until we got to the part were we had to fasten the base to the pole. The screw AOS that was provided was not long enough to go through. We struggled with it for over 3hours without success. Next morning, I called Lifetime customer service, and the Lady acknowledged that sometimes the wrong screws end up in the package, and she was going to ship out replacement screws to me asap. I asked her 'how can I be sure the replacement will be longer than the current piece I have?'. She said, don't worry it's going to work this time. Looks like they are used to receiving complaints about that screw. But my kids didn't have the patience to wait for a replacement. So, I took the screw to Home Depot and requested for a similar screw but about half inch longer. I also made sure to get the right nut to go with the screw ( the nut AAY that came with the original screw has a rubber stopper that makes it impossible to tighten beyond a certain point. Now that I was getting a longer screw, I needed to have a new nut without a rubber stopper.). Also my screw DXZ was too short. So, I also got a similar screw but half inch longer from home depot. Spent $5 at Home Depot to get these parts. With the new screws, I completed the setup in 10minutes. Make sure to have a pointed plier to hold the nut with your left hand while you use the adjustable plier to tighten the screw with your right hand. These 2 tools are a must for a successful assembly. Hope that Lifetime will fix this and stop putting families through this pain. ... show more
