This is probably my 5th attempt to get decent hearing aids from Amazon AND I FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT! The Setup - BEYOND EASY and I was so proud that I didn't have to call my daughter for any help. The manual was detailed and gave a good step by step that was directly in line with the Lexi app. Customer Support - After getting them set up I actually received a call from Lexi to inquire about how they were working for me. Proactive customer service is just something you do get a lot of these days so this was a very pleasant surprise. They walked me through the fitting process as I felt like I might not have chosen the correct ear bud size and the adjustments made the seal to my ear perfect. The App - SUPER CLEAR and easy to follow with larger graphics and simplistic controls that are easy to navigate despite my massive technical challenges. I specifically love the personal environments section in the app because I had so much trouble getting the sound right as I went from place to place and the types of sounds changed. The Actual Ear Devices - They are small (see 4th photo) and the buttons can be hard to press but the app makes it so easy to control things once you have them on. The others I had needed to be adjusted on that actual hearing aids and that was just too hard for my hands. The case - I love the size for the case because its easy to find in my purse/bag and doesn't hide from me. I also like that they charge via USB C because it's the same cord as my iPhone which just simplifies life. Functionality - I love that I can connect these for TV, music, phone calls, and of course hearing. After a long time searching and returning.....I finally have a new pair of ears. I can't speak for longevity but I will absolutely come back and update in a few months. Would I Buy This? YES Value for the money - Excellent My rating system breakdown: 1 Star = Gross misrepresentation of a product, made of inferior materials, or does not perform the stated function 2 Stars = Needs improvement: Doesn’t work consistently or is manufactured with low-level materials 3 Stars = It works as stated, but I am not impressed with the craftsmanship or the overall aesthetics OR the value does not align with the cost. 4 Stars = Meets expectations 5 Stars = Exceeds expectations and would be worth a splurge Disclaimer: This is a review of a free but taxable product made available via Amazon’s Vine program. When you worked as a diesel technician for a large part of your life and refuse to wear earplugs, you pay the price. My hearing isn’t the best, but it isn’t totally horrible either. I have been using my AirPods Pro second generation to amplify stuff for a while, but the battery life just wasn’t the best and when I Ran up on these OTC hearing aids, I was willing to give them a try. Especially with the Bose name attached, my interest was really peaked. Straight out of the box I could tell the hearing was a lot better sounds. I didn’t know around my house was happening. The boss has a clock on the wall in the bathroom and I was brushing my teeth. I kept hearing a clicking sound the clock! The hearing aids were pretty easy to set up however, when using the app you have three choices you can Choose from the Lexi B one, the Lexi B2, and the Lexi B2 plus. I kept tapping on the Lexi B too and it would send me to Bluetooth devices in settings, but it was never there so I just tried the plus and they attached. Once inside the app, I was hoping for a small hearing test similar to what I did with my AirPods, but that wasn’t available just some dials to move the sound around. I don’t know if I’m just missing a hearing test, but I was able to adjust the sounds to what I need. And it was working great and they are continuing to work great. So in the description, it says streaming calls and after listening to a few videos and reviews on the OTC hearing aids, they said I would only be able to stream calls, but I can assure you that everything on my iPhone 16 Pro Max works. I can listen to videos on social media. I can listen to Apple Music and I can take calls. Even the clicks of tapping stuff on the screen works. If you ask me, that’s a bonus. The battery life is absolutely awesome as I said before the AirPods work great as an OTC hearing aid, but the battery life isn’t All day long like these are. Each device serves a great purpose these however, outshine in the battery department. At the end of the day if you were willing to sit down and adjust these exactly how you want them they will be excellent. They said mild to moderate hearing loss which I believe I am in that realm so they worked perfectly for me. I 100% love these and before I forget when talking to people through them on the phone, they say the microphone sound good. So I’m going to 100% suggest these over-the-counter hearing aids!
