I was happy with the light when I used it. Lights are bright and easy to use. After a year or so, the on/off switch on the stern light stopped working. I figured there was nothing I could do because it was way past the time window for returning it to Amazon. So I fiddled with it and took it apart and moved a wire to bypass the switch so that it was always on. So to turn it off, I had to take the batteries out each time which was annoying so I was going to look around and purchase a new light somewhere. However, I ran into another sailor who had the exact same light and he said he had no problems and had used it for years. So I contacted the seller through the Amazon messaging system, and told them the problem and asked for a replacement switch for the stern light. They asked me for my address and they sent me a complete replacement of the entire package. I love a company that stands behind their product and gives great customer service. ... show more

Cheap cheap cheap. I purchased this for a small fishing boat for rare use if I happened to be out late on the lake. It does the trick, but don’t expect it to hold up. The threads are really flimsy on the brackets and pipe extensions. The lights don’t deal moisture out as the plastic casting is so cheap they cannot be tightened sufficiently to seal. Overall I would recommend looking for something else as this will not hold up to marine applications. ... show more

    • Ok lights but mounts are a bit flimsy

Lights are required for nighttime use in the US, so I bought there for my RIB. I needed to modify the front mount to get it to work, but this was expected. The rear mount works, but takes a long time to work around the fiberglass hull and tighten on the transom. The screw on the clamp bends or flexes a bit, but so far has kept the light mounted. The post on the rear light is plastic, so not the best for rigidity, but works well enough for now. The lights are ok, bright enough. One is a little fiddly to get the battery cap on and make the connection, but turning it slightly from full tight seems to work. Overall, they get the job done, but a bit cheaply made. ... show more

They are a little fragile feeling. However, they work. Others say they aren't waterproof. Probably not. But they're so easy to install you can take them off easily and stow them until you need them again. They do take batteries. I thought I could hook them up to a battery. Nope.... I put them on my small aluminum boat and I can stay on the lake longer and feel comfortable I'm not going to get run over by other bigger boats. ;) ... show more
