  • Great Charger, Simple and Obedient
Connector Type Used on Cable: Hardwired J1772
I have Four different Level 2 chargers for my vehicles. Including 2 official BMW chargers that came with my cars. This charger has been one of the most reliable and intuitive of them all. All other chargers connect for a few minutes immediately after plugging them into my car even though I have the car set to only charge between midnight and 7:00am. Causing my power demand to spike for a few minutes. But this charger will not do that. If I set it to real time or timed, it will not start prematurely. It follows instructions from the app. Charge speed is adjustable and accurate. Only real issue is the cable is extremely thick. Sometimes cumbersome to roll up or maneuver when both cars are in the garage. I got it on sale and highly recommend it especially with the $100 discount. All is a lil bland, but simple if that’s what you like. ... show more

  • I recommend it!
Connector Type Used on Cable: Hardwired J1772
Better than expected! The cable is beefier, it can charge almost twine as faster than my Honda brand charger, what else can I say.

  • Excellent charging solution!
Connector Type Used on Cable: Hardwired J1772
This EV charger allows you to connect directly to your panel box to charge your vehicle at up to 48 amps safely. This is the maximum speed any home charger will be able to accomplish, so there's really not much point in spending more money for a different name brand charger. Installation is not difficult if you're comfortable with electricity and wiring, but you do need to know what you're doing and take safety precautions. There's plenty of youtube videos online that are able to teach you how to wire a circuit, which is what you'll need to do. You'll need a dedicated 60amp circuit which requires two adjacent breaker spots in your breaker panel. Installation, even if you DIY it, may cost more than the initial price for this EV charger depending on how far your desired charging spot is from the panel... so just keep that in mind. Overall I'm thrilled with the quality of this. The cables are all very beefy and 25' is more length than a tesla wall connector or most other brand name chargers. Having more cable length keeps you from stretching and awkwardly bending the cable if the distance is tight and allows you to place the charger at a location that's closer to your panel to save some costs on the initial installation. This will charge most batteries in about 4-6 hours, depending on the battery size. Connectivity was a breeze and the app functions fine. It's all about what I would I would expect from any name brand charger. I don't utilize the RFID card at all but I could see it being useful if you're trying to install it in a highly accessible area. I've had an EV charger highly visible on the side of my house for almost 6 years now and not once has anyone ever tried to steal my electricity... but I'm sure it happens. The case is weatherproof and has held up outdoors for me just fine so far, but it's only been a month. All of the safety features and voltage controls should help with your cars battery life. Overall I do think there's better options at this charger's listed retail price, but I've seen it go on sale for 30% or more off quite a few times since I've bought this. If you can get it at a sale price under $200 it's a killer deal. There's 25 foot of wire in this bad boy! Can't be cheap to manufacture! ... show more

  • This is a hardwired 48A charger, you’ll need a dedicated 60A circuit
Connector Type Used on Cable: Hardwired J1772
I installed it for my Kia EV9 and EV5, and it has been excellent. At 48A, it charges dramatically faster than a standard outlet, making overnight charging a non-issue. I simply plug in at the end of the day and wake up with a full battery. Being able to schedule charging during off-peak hours, monitor energy usage, and adjust the charging current gives you much more control over both charging and electricity costs. You can do it all through the app. The 25-foot cable is another highlight. It provides enough reach that you’re not forced to park in the exact same spot every time, and the weather-resistant housing inspires confidence for outdoor installation. The RFID feature is also nice if you want to prevent unauthorized use. Just keep in mind this is a hardwired 48A charger, so you’ll need a dedicated 60A circuit and professional installation. ... show more

  • RFID works and its pretty cool for a business area
Connector Type Used on Cable: Hardwired J1772
Quick to the Point * Easy to install if you know how to do electrical work per CODE. * Charging Speed is excellent and I haven't experienced any issues even when using a j1772 to NACS adapter. * The power cord is long enough to comfortably install to your emergency disconnect. * The cable length for the charging port is plenty enough * Cable bending? It is flexible enough to handle comfortably without worry. Only tested in warm, rainy weather in Florida. * The plug material is good enough to handle drops. The charging station is safe to use outside where I have it. However, I suggest using an EV charger box to protect it from the weather and to keep people from trying to steal it or use it without permission. * RFID is pretty cool. Lock it down or share with people so they can charge while keeping people from trying to get free charging at your expense. * The program works fine but it is not required to use the station. * Peak off-charging works if you need it This is a very affordable ev charging station packing a lot of features that are highly functional. Not sure how it will fair with time, but so far there is ZERO indication that it will not be working for years to come. ... show more

  • Fast charge!
Connector Type Used on Cable: Hardwired J1772
This is a solid Level 2 charger for the price. I had it hardwired into my garage on a dedicated circuit and it charges my car noticeably faster than the portable unit that came with it. The app works well enough to schedule off-peak charging, which saves money over time. Build quality feels sturdy and the IP65 rating gives me confidence leaving it outside year round. My only real gripe is that professional installation adds a chunk of cost on top of this already decent price tag. Also the WiFi setup was a little finicky at first but worked after a restart. Overall I am happy with how well this performs for what you pay... ... show more

  • Issue with charging

  • Quick and easy install if you have the required wiring setup from the panel
Connector Type Used on Cable: Hardwired J1772
Installation was pretty straightforward. Once I mounted the unit on the wall and completed the wiring, it was ready to go. Keep in mind this is a 48A hardwired charger, so you'll need the proper dedicated high-amperage circuit, and most people will want a qualified electrician to handle that part if they don't already have one installed. There is no battery and is all hard-wired. The initial setup was simple, and I like that the charging cable is long enough to easily reach the vehicle without having to park in one exact spot. Compared to the 120V charger I've been using, this should be a significant upgrade in charging speed based on the specifications, which is the main reason I chose it. I used it once to test functionality and it works well but haven't had the opportunity to use it regularly yet, but my first impressions of the build quality, installation, and setup have all been very positive. ... show more
