The charger is working great, it is super easy to mount and install which I did myself. Make sure you put it in a 40 Amp breaker, not 32, as a 32 amp 'continuous' pull device like this charger requires a 40 amp breaker. The NEMA 6-50 plug is easy removed as it is the kind that screws on and off with just a phillips head screwdriver, making it easy to remove if you want to hardwire. No neutral required, just two hots and a ground. The display is large enough for its purpose and is clearly visible even in bright daylight. The unit shows how many Amps it is pulling, the charge time, and the temperature. The unit never feels even warm to the touch. It does not have any 'intelligent' features, for example no Wifi, no start/stop times, and no ability to charge to a particular percentage (unless your car itself does.) I'm honestly pretty disappointed. I had it professionally installed and It's worked as advertised for almost two years, but suddenly last week it made a popping sound and stopped working. I was able to get the screen to turn on again, but it won't charge the car, so I'm back to using the slow charger that came with the car. I certainly would expect something like this to last longer, and they only provide support on it for six months after purchase. I wish I'd paid closer attention to that detail when purchasing it. 2.5 hour charges sure beats the 12 hour charge for the charger that comes with my Rav 4 prime. Cord length is perfect. Easy to install. Quick charges times. Fast shipping. Good deal. Nothing to complain about.

During my research for an EV charger for my new hybrid, I came across several that were highly recommended, but all were quite expensive. When I found this one I thought what a great bargain! It was on sale during Prime Days. I was so excited about my new car & couldn’t wait to start saving both my money & the planet by being energy efficient. I had my electrician come by & install it the second I received it. ….But after just 2 months of use, I understood why the price was so much cheaper than the more recommended units. The charger stopped working! I had several exchanges with a representative named Abner from this company and realized that they are not US-based, so the customer service was very limited and having the unit dismounted and having to ship it back to them was quite a hassle. Although they did honor me with a refund, they would not cover the shipping, a whopping $66.25! This was the tip of the iceberg for me in purchasing from other countries where you’re on your own when issues arise. I requested a prepaid shipping label, but Abner advised that they would not cover the shipping for me to send their defective unit back to them, so I had to absorb that cost, which was infuriating. So now I will research again and make the investment I should have made in the first place with an American made EV charger backed by a company who has thorough customer service. I would NOT recommend this EV charger… Don’t waste your money, your time or your peace of mind. ... show more

We had this charger installed last week and have been very impressed with how quickly it charges our Tesla. Though it is for other types of EVs, our Tesla adapter has worked very well with the machine. From the first charge to each additional charge, it has been working very efficiently. Granted, going from a 110 outlet (5 mile/HR charge rate), basically anything is better, but this Level 2 charger (approximately 32-35 miles/HR) has lived up to its reputation. I highly recommend this EV charger. Even with a Tesla adapter, the charge rate holds up. ... show more
