  • Better than expected
Pattern Name: Spire Roof Size: 158.4"L x 120.0"W x 76.8"H
This was the perfect purchase for our silkie chickens. We have a little over a dozen, and it gives them plenty of room, shaded with the cover and protected from predators. It was easy to put together, myself and my 9 year old were able to do so in about 2 hours from start to finish. I had ordered hardware cloth to add to the bottom for extra security- but haven't had any issues at all with what it came with, so that is still in the box. Our neighbors were so impressed with it, they're buying one too. ... show more

  • Great grow out pen!
Pattern Name: Spire Roof Size: 158.4"L x 120.0"W x 76.8"H
Awesome cage! I have 2 ducks currently in there and once they have their ducklings I will move them out and turkeys in. Great grow out pen. Just a suggestion: I have a wood privacy fence around my pasture to keep out predators so if you don't have an outer sturdy protection pen I would reinforce this pen with sturdy metal. The wire was more than enough you just roll in from the bottom over the roof and down to the other bottom. Then fill in the rest. Had plenty of wire left over if I would have wanted to go across the bottom I could have but I don't do that so my birds don't hurt their feet when they scratch. All in all has gone thru plenty of rough spring and summer storms and has kept my nesting mother duck totally dry. Definitely invest in some sturdy anchors. I used a pole in the ground in the middle of the pen and then secured it to the roof with a rachet strap. Great buy! ... show more

  • Savy?
Pattern Name: Spire Roof Size: 158.4"L x 120.0"W x 76.8"H
I bought this In early February and I finally got to doing it today (mid April) sun is shinning 78• out im amped up about this coop so here’s the low down. so not all the pieces are marked go I just took a “mark anywhere” sharply and marked them according to the stack it was with wrapped together and with help from the handy dandy instructions booklet. This is also good because if u ever need to take it down for any reason, like some F-Hole neighbors who haven’t pooped in public restrooms because it’s dirty and there animal rights activists because all there purity little packages of meat come to them from the store instead of the land. (not sure what that has to do with it but it’s a good analogy) anyyy how .mark them so you know what, is what. That is if you keep your book. Sooooo I had just gotten the last corner of the base on and I had to stop ! Both punches for the quick connect never fully cleared . Not a big deal if you’re a savy person like me . More so let’s say your not and you have this part u can’t connect then what spend $60 in shipping to send it back? I believe that’s what the seller quoted me . So now u have spent 160$ on this coop when you could just drill out the hole. It looks east to put up and down I think the mesh should be done in panels so it can be disassembled in sections to make assembly smoother . Just my thoughts like everyone else the mesh is crap if u live in BFE where the population is two people and a cow you need that wire to be predator proof. But I wonder if Amazon charges customer's tariffs on the MADE IN CHINA like this product here. In all reality what would it cost to make this product? Ship it here pay all the Amazon workers and then the consumer pays. Wow, sorry about that. I lost myself in thought ! Yes good coop frame no good mesh . Hellish -out…. ... show more

  • Excellent… for the price! READ this before buying
Pattern Name: Dome Roof Size: 10' L x 19.7' W x 6.4' H
This chicken run is ideal for someone who is raising chickens in a large backyard and is looking to deter hawks and eagles from your flock. If you live somewhere rural (with foxes, coyote, wolves, raccoons, possum) you may need to get a more secure chicken run. Pros: - Easy enough to assemble. I’m not very good at assembling things but it took 3 people about 4 hours to assemble. - Low cost. For the money this is a great option! - Tarp. Comes with a tarp to cover the area where the chicken coop is placed. Can shield chickens from rain. - Large size. I only have 4 chickens but I think this thing is big enough for 10-15! - Door. It has a door which is nice! I’m 5’8” and it’s nice to walk in the chicken run with enough room above me. This coop is tall enough that you can walk in and clean but it’s not too tall. I was worried it would be too tall and be an eyesore for my neighbors. Luckily, It barely is visible over the fence. - Comes with zip ties and some wire. - Green colored hex mesh. I like this color it has! Cons: - Flimsy material. The hex chicken wire mesh material that it is made out of is not the sturdiest. I was hoping it would be more like chain link fence feeling material. If you have destructive dogs I would be careful with this chicken run. A dog could easily jump on it and break the zip ties holding it together. -Held together by zip ties and faith. The assembly feels like it may fall apart in a couple years. It’s being held together entirely by zip ties and wire. - Light weight. You might think this is a good thing but if a big storm comes through it would be concerning. I went to the store and bought some large screws to secure the chicken run to some railroad ties. I highly recommend securing it in someway so that it doesn’t blow away! - Aesthetics. It doesn’t come with any decor. Chicken runs just aren’t the most pretty thing. I purchased the round roof option because I want it to be somewhat aesthetically pleasing. To make it look cuter I purchased some fake moss tiles and made it look like a shrub growing around it. - Challenges cutting and wrapping the run. You will have to cut the hex mesh stuff at some point during the assembly. Luckily there is a little extra mesh if you mess up. Not a lot of room for error. - Low security chicken run. Make sure you lock your chickens up at night in their coop!!! Predators could easily weasel their way under the hex mesh. In my opinion the chicken run is good for during the day. I believe it will stop hawks from getting them. But at night I still lock them up in their coop to protect them from other predators. Summary: This chicken run is excellent for the price. In this economy everything is so expensive!! Glad this didn’t break the bank. To buy all the parts at hardware store will cost you more money!! In my opinion it is worth it if you are just doing chicken stuff in a large backyard as a hobby. However….If you live somewhere more rural that has serious predator problems, I would highly suggest buying something more secure and more sturdy!! ... show more

  • Definitely worth the money.
Pattern Name: Spire Roof Size: 10' L x 19.7' W x 6.4' H
We’ve had this co-op for over a year now, and I would definitely buy it again. It was easy to put together. We did add railroad ties to the perimeter of the bottom to keep out predators and make the coop permanent. We added a tin roof, so I’m not sure about the tarp durability. The wire included worked just fine. Our only complaint would be the door, but we’ve rebuilt/reworked it to something that fits better and closes tighter (as we actually use this coop for chickens and need it predator free). For the price, size, and ease of assembly, you can’t go wrong here. ... show more
