The smaller the particle size in micrometers or microns (µm) the more fine the powder and the more coverage or hiding power. Conversely, the larger the particle size the more coarse the powder which provides more of a glittering effect. The larger particles provide less coverage or hiding power and have generally more luster.Creating your own cosmetics? It’s really pretty and will be useful in the future but as for right now it was not what I was looking for. This is a great powder. I got more of the white-gold one years ago when someone introduced it to me as something that could be used in art/paint. It can also be used as makeup and it’s very pretty! I have been having such fun with this glitter! First, I chose this brand because most glitter is microplastic and very harmful to critical food chain base animals. This glitter is colored mica according to the description, and biodegradable or neutral. I try to make my fun neutral impact so that was key to deciding. The stuff itself is fine, soft, powder with an intense shimmery color. I use a makeup brush to brush it into my hair for vivid mermaid highlights and it does an amazing job. Bought this for my small candle business. Super easy to use. It only takes a little bit. The more you use the darker, more opaque the color. Just mix a little bit into your melted wax. Since it only takes a little bit it lasts a long time!

    • The color is not the red I needed, it’s a pink color which was very disappointing.
