It's incredibly strong & supportive, but also soft & fluffy on top. There was absolutely NO strange smell when we removed the plastic. The instructions were very clear. Ideally, we would have let the mattress expand for 72 hours, but that just wasn't doable for us. We started sleeping on it after allowing it to expand for about 30 hours. I waited 6 months before creating this review. This mattress takes a while to break in. It seemed like it was firm which I had initially wanted to order, but after reading the reviews I settled on this one and I'm glad I did. I've slept on mattresses that cost thousands of dollars that paled in comparison. I sleep very well and even with a bad back I can comfortably sleep on it. While I am a side sleeper this fact globe has made the purchase worth every penny. The foam cradles while the springs support. Its an amazing value. For the last 13 years, I’ve slept on a 100% latex mattress (Spring Air) that I bought from a travel show at Costco for $2500. It was a great mattress for a long while. I recently started waking up with hip and shoulder pain, and decided it was time to replace old faithful. I spent a lot of time shopping before I decided to give this one a try. I was skeptical about ordering a mattress that I couldn’t touch and see in person, but for the price, I decided to roll the dice. I can’t believe how great this mattress is for the price. After the first night, I woke up without pain and felt much more rested than usual. They say this mattress is a medium firm. The description is right on. I can’t do soft/plush, and firm is just uncomfortable- so this ended up being perfect. I’ve read that it should soften up a little bit after a 30 - 60 night break-in period. I guess we’ll see how well this works out over the next several weeks. If you’re hesitant like me, I get it. But if you want a good mattress at a decent price, this seems to be it. ... show more

Price wise this is a great mattress. It’s very structured and is very supportive. I ordered the 14” mattress opposed to the 14”medium firm mattresses because I was hoping for something a little more on the plush side. I have had the item for two weeks now and I would say it’s a little firmer then I was hoping for. I read the reviews prior to ordering and many said it was a little firmer. With everyone having differing taste in preferences it’s hard to really know until you try it yourself. It really seams to be made well and is a pretty impressive thickness. It’s pretty heavy and I would recommend you have help moving it. I had a heck of a time getting it up a set of stairs be myself. I would purchase this brand again, but would aim for an option that was advertised as plush if they offered it. ... show more

I personally couldn’t be happier with my experience and the product. When I say that this is one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on I am not lying. The bed literally within hours was inflated and had only the slightest of smell that went away within the same time. It was a perfect size, and thickness. Then I laid on it for the first time and I was instantly satisfied with my purchase. The price was incredible for the overwhelming satisfaction I felt. I 100 percent recommend this to anyone who is a side or stomach sleeper. I didn’t sweat and normally I run hot so this was definitely skin friendly and very durable and cooling. I can’t believe how comfortable this bed is! When it was delivered it was compressed and I first thought it was small. Then when the plastic was removed it grew. Every night when I get into bed I thank God for my “cloud” bed. Not to hard but supportive. I’d never bought a bed without trying it out. I added a regular mattress pad, nothing fancy. I am sooooo happy with my new bed that I could afford. I wake up feeling refreshed. You won’t be sorry you bought it! It definitely has the ahhhhhh factor and I’m picky about beds. ... show more

Did not have funny smell . Was easy to open and setup . My only issue is I feel like I’m going to fall off the edge . It’s hard to explain but unless I’m right in the middle it feels strange .
