Works great. The door requires a tad bit of pressure with push. Our cat has no problem using it, can be little loud when he darts through it. You can lock it on either side which we never use that feature, our cat got mad the one time we did it and started scratching at our carpet (we installed it on our bedroom door). It was normal installation. My husband seem to have done it with ease. It's sturdy. We've had it for almost a year now. It looks "nice" for what it is.

I love this product it works great. The only thing that does suck about this product is the fuzzy weather stripping, but that is easy to replace with new weather stripping for a hardware store.

I bought this product originally as a solution for having a cat in a really small apartment. We would keep his litter box in the tub and have to move it and clean it every time we showered. There was also not much we could do about litter getting everywhere. I originally got this door with the hopes of modifying one of the vanity doors, but ultimately abandoned the effort because I would’ve had to make a custom wooden piece on the inside to protect the litter box area from all of our bathroom, essentials, toothbrush, etc. that I was planning on still keeping in the drawers. So fast forward a few months, and I find a random picture on Instagram of someone removing the bottom drawer so their cat could go in and out of the vanity and I thought what a genius idea. So we have moved all of our personal bathroom stuff out of the top drawer and that all it is now cat stuff - vacuum for litter, litter, etc. I was planning on actually keeping the hole open, but my cat is a cat that loves to scratch and make a ton of noise in the litter, and I remembered I had this tucked away in the garage somewhere and decided to see if it would fit. The opening was a perfect fit! As you can see from the pictures, I had to cut and screw some various pieces of wood, because the thickness of the vanity would smaller than the distance between the two plastic pieces. We’ll see if our cat likes to push the door open or not but I am hopeful and hoping this solves our litter everywhere problem.

Even though we had to pay someone to install the cat door, we love it! It took the cats a couple of days to figure it out; some coaxing with treats, pushing them through it manually, etc. In the end, they got it and it's a lifesaver! Our door goes from a mud room with two exit doors and a garage door, so there are many places they can escape to if given the chance and oh boy to they try! The locking mechanism on the flap works like a charm! I also appreciate that we no longer need to leave the door ajar 24-7 which has helped with retaining heat so much better. PS our doors are black, so the black on blends in almost seamlessly. HIGHLY recommend!

My cat is a fatso and the smaller cat door was a squeezefest, so I literally had to carve out a larger frame in a metal door, cause God forbid he go on a diet. Nice door though.

Arrived cracked around the seems but I used liquid nails to seal the crack. The post office is to far away to make the trip back to return it. Once the liquid nails dried I had no issues installing the kitty door. We have 9+ feral cats in a colony we inherited when we purchased our house. They had no way of staying warm in winter so we installed a kitty door on an outbuilding. I am not the best building and I've never installed a pet door before. The door opening is wide enough that our 3 legged cat that's 12 lbs fits through with ease. The sides are soft and it's mounts well that even with our blind cat running into the edges as he learns the door, he has no issue. Overall it's a great value and looks good, even arriving damaged.
