You've got to install the app to use it with your phone, but you can print stencils from your phone. So you can take a design from anyone, make minor tweaks to clean it up, and then print it right away. It's super small and portable, even though you likely won't need it to be too portable, it's still nice just in case you're a traveling artist. I do think, though, that since it says it's bluetooth, that it should also have bluetooth for computers. It doesn't. It needs wired connection for computers.

This printer is very easy to use, once you get the software and drivers installed/updated. I had to review the listing and do a bit of poking around to find out this printer is a Phomemo TP86. The paper feeds in cleanly and the later are easy to separate to apply the stencil. I'm using this to transfer my pencil sketches onto canvas to work with on some paintings. I wanted to play with mixed media. This was fairly easy to transfer onto the canvas. Left me with a decent ink marking to paint over and it was mostly even. I had prepped the canvas with gesso and I am curious to try this on wood next. Super easy to connect to a computer and powers on/off fairly quickly. Easy to work with and a nice, even print.

I'm not a tattoo artist, and I have no intention of ever getting a real tattoo. That said, I have always enjoyed temporary tattoos. Just the idea of having the ability to make custom temporary tattoos sounded like a whole lot of fun to me. So, here we are! Allow me to begin by saying this. For anyone purchasing this printer with the idea of printing temporary tattoos like you would get out of a 25-cent machine at your local pizzeria, this is not that machine. Admittedly, I may have been one of those people. Rather, this machine uses heat transfer to print a tattoo stencil from a carbon sheet. The heated print heads transfer this carbon material onto a paper applicator. So, think of it as an almost blue ink. This will be the final appearance of your stencil or temporary tattoo. The printer itself is both well designed, and well manufactured. It is very slim, and takes up very little space on a counter or tabletop. The printer has a rechargeable battery built in, and it is surprisingly long-lasting. After fully charging the printer with the included USB-C cable, I have not had to charge the printer again. We’re taking several weeks of use here. Also included with the printer are ten sheets of transfer paper. The transfer paper is of decent quality. I will say, however, the perforations could have been inlaid better. The yellow protective sheet is a bit hard to cleanly tear away. The companion app recommended by the manufacturer works very well, and allows me to easily pair my phone with the printer over Bluetooth. You can create designs, edit designs, change layouts, and apply different settings, all from the companion app. Through using the printer, companion app, and included transfer paper in conjunction, I can safely say that I have been very happy with the print quality! The stencils (or temporary tattoos, whatever you want to call them) come out looking crisp and clean every time! As far as application of the stencils is concerned, you have a few options. You can buy tattoo stencil application creams, you can use deodorant, you can use soap, etc. I chose not to overcomplicate things and applied my temporary tats with a wad of lightly damp and warm paper towels. A firm, even pressure for around a minute will yield you a clean and crisp application of your stencil/temporary tat. Just be careful not to smear your tattoo, as the carbon ink can smear quite easily. In summary, I am happy to report that I am thoroughly impressed with this tattoo stencil printer. So far, everything is working exactly as it was designed to. We have had a lot of fun designing, printing, and applying our custom tattoos. Whether using for fun or professionally, this printer is an excellent choice at only $78. I would definitely recommend it.

Very nice tattoo printer! This is super easy and simple to set up and to get it working! It connected to my MacBook (with an extra dongle) perfectly and fast. I was able to get it all set up, I could even create and send over works from my iPad that I created to print off! It only comes with a few of the transfer sheets so you'll need to purchase more as this is more of a sample for the actual printer and product. it worked great at transferring the design onto my body and looks incredible and detailed. it printed out exactly what it was supposed to and looks amazing! very impressed especially for the price!
