I could not be happier with this automatic litter box. After previously owning a Whisker Litter-Robot that cost more than twice as much, I was honestly surprised by how much value this one delivers at its price point. It does everything I need without the premium price tag, which makes it an easy recommendation for multi-cat households. Setup was quick and straightforward, and day-to-day use is even easier. Compared to other automatic litter boxes I have tried, this one feels far more intuitive with fewer quirks and less babysitting required. The companion app works flawlessly and is one of my favorite features. It accurately tracks visits from multiple cats, which gives me peace of mind and helps me keep an eye on their habits. Odor control has been excellent. The area around the litter box stays fresh, even with multiple cats using it daily. I no longer worry about guests noticing any smells, and maintenance is minimal. If I could stand and stop anyone from ever buying this thing again, I WOULD! First, I have never written an Amazon review before- if that helps in your decision making for this product. Also before writing this, I read all of the 1 star reviews left on here and EVERY SINGLE ONE IS CORRECT! Urine leaks underneath into the gears and motor. Works good for a month or two and then just a $300 box in my living room. DONT BUY. Even if it works good for you for a bit, this thing will not stand the test of time and is junk for the hefty price tag!!! I looked for months for a self cleaning litter box. Since they’re so pricey I wanted to make sure I got a good one and read tons of reviews. This one had a lot of positive reviews so I purchased Nov of 2025. Due to multiple factors, I did not open and begin to use this until about 3 months ago. Set up was easy enough. However I did not think there were the lengthy amount of instructions I would have liked being a first time owner of one of these types of litter boxes. But besides that, good enough. The other issue- I also have tubby kitties- the inside is incredibly small. It worried me that my cats would start using the bathroom elsewhere due to not liking the new box. All seemed to go okay though. The sensory shows different colors for different things. Green is when it means basically everything is “all good” and what you want the sensor color to be. However mine kept showing a blinking red color. The sticker on the box showed that meant a “motor blockage.” But there is zero instruction that I could find anything about how to fix that or where the motor is. So after guess that I found the motor, I would wipe it off and maybe remove like 4 pieces of litter and I would clean off the track around the box that makes the whole thing spin to dump the waste. Side note- this track would get gross, like cat urine in the little cracks, it was nasty. Anyways, after cleaning it and messing with it, I could get it to go back to a green light. Until a few days later, the exact same thing would happen. Yes, I had triple checked that everything was set up correctly and had checked every video provided. So I would fix it again and this just became a pattern. Completely taking the point away of not having to mess with a litter box as much. Before my finalitynof this review, none of this litter box has been hassle free. I 10000% swear that it has made my house smell wayyyyy worse than my regular litter box. The waste does not really get sealed off, there is multiple area for smell to escape and my house constantly smells like poop now. I was so done with regular litter boxes and couldn’t wait to get this, now I can’t wait to just go back to a regular one until I can save up to maybe get a better name brand one. None of the box inside stays clean- it gets disgusting. The waster and urine rolls around the whole thing so there is just tried crust of waste covering the entirety of the box so I was constantly trying to get in it to wipe it out. And it’s even more difficult because the entrance does not pop off like a reg box, so you have to fish your arm through a dark hole to try and clean inside it. The poop piles up instead of spreading so everytime before I change the bag I have to take the rope off and mash the waste down so it doesn’t smear and fall everywhere when I open the waste drawer. Cleaning the whole thing out is a pain and I have also had to do that a lot due to how nasty and SMELLY it gets. Lastly, after 3 months of use, it has now been on a blinking red light for days and I can’t fix it. And when it’s on that light it won’t cycle or use any of its functions. It just sits there like a regular box. I just contacted the seller to see if I can get any help and will update with any results. I would not ever buy this litter boxes again. And it has me questioning to buy any type of self cleaning litter boxes again again. And even if you get lucky and have done of the problems I listed- the bottom line is it stinks waaaay worse than a litter box. I cleaned out my litter box once a day and it was all good. This thing constantly smells like a giant turd. Truly it’s horrendous and I’m constantly having to burn candles now. Adding litter is also sometimes impossible because you have to try and pour from the box into the tiny entrance hole. The photos of the cats inside the box in the images of the product above- are so misleading. This thing is TINY.

We love this thing. Especially for the price. It works well, doesn’t have to be cleaned often (every 2 weeks or longer. Only one cat), and is easy to clean and replace the bag. My only negative is that I notice periodically that some urine soaked litter will be stuck to the inside and I need to scrape it off. I use a dry sponge or a handful of paper towels and just do it by hand quickly as the inside is turning / self cleaning. We have had another more expensive litter box for years and they both seem to work about the same. This one is definitely more light weight and in my opinion easier to clean.

My Very First Auto Litter Box Pros: Two cats have adjusted to it, in theory, well. They still kick litter out, though. App is helpful with notifications about emptying litter bag, when cat has used it, the various statuses it goes through to clean. App is helpful in some ways. Set box to auto clean after cat visit. Cons: App still can't differentiate between cats based on weight. Often see "Cat visited", rather than "Flash visited". Note: Flash is smaller than Ash. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO ADD LITTER WITHOUT SCOOPING. I've been using a 16 lb box; no way to add that without scooping; changed to a bag, still too heavy to lift and pour into relatively small opening. If I liked scooping, I'd have stayed with non-automatic box. Waste empties into litter bag via one small slot, which causes waste to pile up, giving "change discharge bag" more frequently than necessary. Litter bag holder has refused to insert on one side; have switched to the other side. Sensitive people will notice waste odor. "Scented" insert is catnip to encourage cats to use. Noticed that lighter cat doesn't do #2 in it often; discovered that his preference for pooping is to squat in upright position, so this box is too low for him. Have noticed clumps of used litter not being scooped up during automatic cleaning. Instructions weren't clear; husband and I are well-versed in putting devices together, but this was a struggle. I'll move this to a more visible area, but will purchase an open top for secondary area. Seems to be sturdy enough so far.

I’ve been using the HiLo Love automatic litter box for a while now, and both my cat and I are very happy with it.
