Gentleman…if you’re reading this review you obviously care about what hair dye you’re buying. After dying my hair for 15 years and trying EVERYTHING out there…I have finally found exactly what I was looking for. This product dyes the hair, and ONLY the hair….it doesn’t stain my skin, or destroy my bathroom and shower. What’s even better?! I use it on my beard!!! With Just For Men I’d have to take alcohol or equivalent to rub my skin raw after using it to keep the hair dyed but remove the staining on my skin. Not with this. What’s better it looks natural, with subtle variation in hair strand color. I can’t explain enough how in love I am with this product, and grateful that I finally found it!     • Actual Comb Applicator could be better
My first impression taking a break from my usual brand. I have three observations 1. Color seems to last longer, 2. It's a bit more expensive and my least favorite, 3. The comb applicator takes getting used to. It could be deeper and stiffer and it's a bit awkward to hold the bottle at an optimal angle, when applying. Still purchased more to continue the experiment. Update 09/22 black tab that releases ingredients to mix two products broke off but didn't allow mixing or release of product. Had to use a screwdriver to pierce, and punch a hole. Later, I realized just how difficult the shape and thickness of the bottle is to squeeze product out. Especially if you intend to use all of it. Conclusion: now, to-be-clear, I have not had an issue with the actual dye, it seems to do a great job with coverage and lasts a bit longer than other brands. It is easy to apply, but it did not work at all. I can still see the same amount of grey hair. Good thing it only set me back 9 bucks.

Like that if us ammonia free. Also the applicator allows you to apply to forehead hairs and not have white strands.

It was easy to apply but it seemed too dark and unnatural. I have used For Men Only previously and it seemed more natural I tried L'oreal bc it didn't cover all of the gray, Maybe I need a lighter color.

    • Great product but here’s what I wish I had known
Great grey coverage and easy to use, but I wish I had known a few things before I had used it. (1) A “full turn” means 180 degrees because the stops won’t allow more (2) When it first comes out, it looks like it isn’t nearly dark enough (3) 03/H45 Dark Brown looks like 50 Darkest Brown of the other popular brand I used before When the cream came out in a light tan color, I thought I hadn’t twisted or shaken enough, so I covered the tip and shook more vigorously. A few drops leaked and made a mess, but this was unnecessary. The product got darker in a couple of minutes. Apart from that, it applied very easily and cleanly. The bottle needs to be squeezed fairly tightly and the cream is easy to work with my fingers without any spattering. If I had known (1) and (2), there wouldn’t have been any mess at all.     • Great Applicator, Horrible dye.
The applicator and the idea behind it is a home run. It really is a 10/10 idea that makes application so easy and mess free. I absolutely adore it. The dye on the other hand triggered such a horrible skin rash all over my scalp it's unreal. It's 100% my fault for not using the allergy test packet before hand. But let me tell you, this thing has a mess of chemicals not fit for sensitive skin. Adding insult to injury, when the dye began fade, the color changed from "real black" to a blondish green. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because the applicator is just that good. If they do botanical dye or something less skin reactive for me, I'd give this product another shot. ... show more
