My hair is light auburn but when I cover new growth with auburn hair color it looks too red, fake. This darker blonde looks good with my light olive complexion and blends well with the rest of my hair. BUT the BEST thing is how healthy my horribly over treated hair is now! AMAZING!!

It’s hard to find a neutral black or dark brown hair dye. Something that looks like your natural color, not too red and definitely not blue black. I am obsessed with the color Neutral Soft Black, however the Excellence line and nearly all box dyes wash out so quickly now. I bought box dyes because I couldn’t afford salon prices anymore, and Neutral Soft Black is my color. But I find that I have roots showing within two weeks! I used to get five weeks out of both L’Oreal and Garnier box dyes. I can’t dye my hair every two weeks or my hair will be so brittle it will crack. I just hope they don’t discontinue this color… ... show more

I tried L’oreal universal nudes for the first time and it is officially my new go to home hair coloring system. The color is natural, shiny, and truly beautiful. My hair feels soft, but still holds all styles. I had sooo many people comment positively on my hair color.

Not sure how to feel about this. The photo with the box is the same day I dyed my hair. Hair is fully dry. Looks almost black? Second photo is 7 weeks after I dyed it. It’s finally lightening up. Golden caramel undertone. Nothing neutral about this color and no where near the color on the box. I used two boxes of the 5n color and left it to develop according to instructions. Not sure I trust L’Oréal on the color any more ... show more

I've been using L'Oreal hair dye for more than 40 years and have Always been very pleased with it. I bought "Universal Nudes" because of the color selection and believed the "Ammonia Free" would be better for my hair. The Color was Great At First but did NOT Stay In. Within 2 weeks it was noticeably leaving. My hair became Extremely sensitive to the sun unlike L'Oreal With Ammonia which is moderately effected by it. It also changed the texture of my hair. When dyed my hair again, I went back to using L'Oreal Excellence With Ammonia. The new hair growth accepts the dye Differently. You can now see where the new growth separates from the old. I always liked L'Oreal products. I am More Than Disappointed with this product. I would NOT RECOMMEND. ... show more
