I stumbled across this product while looking for a better black dye that doesn’t fade to brown after 3 washes. And now it’s my go to black dye! For me it last a couple months before it looks a little brown in the sun, but that’s only up close. Overall it looks black even if it’s been a while. I used this on my hair roughly 6 weeks ago. The blue was very bright and noticeable for the first couple weeks, then it was more of a hint and just black. Now it has faded to more of a brown black, but my hair has a lot of red to it so that happens! I got 2 and only needed one so I will be able to do it all again! For reference, because I SEARCHED! I have thin, fine hair that is just below my bra strap. Thickness reference would be- I can wrap a brand new thick pony tail holder around my hair three times, but it will hold at 2 still. Do not purchase this brand, it doesn't last long and Everytime you shower it washes off , water comes out black color, it doesn't matter how long ago you colored your hair, it washes off completely

3 stars because I was hoping for some blue in my hair. I started with a medium brown hair, I purchased the black sapphire. With this supposedly being for dark hair, I was excited and couldn't wait to use it. To mix you use a little over 4 tablespoons of 30 Volume creme developer for one box, I posted a photo of the brand I used. The directions for mixing arent very clear so I figured I'd post how to mix it to make it easy for others. I have short hair and only needed 1 box of color. You will need to buy a mixing bottle or bowl to mix it in, I chose bottle because it makes it easier to mix and apply. You wanna make sure you mix it well and FULLY saturate all of your hair thoroughly, coat it very well and let it sit 30 mins and after that rinse your hair until water runs clear then shampoo and condition with a color safe shampoo (no parabens or sulfates) because those wash the color out of your hair pretty quickly so make sure it's color safe. After that style as usual. I posted a photo of my hair after, the bottle I used after using, the color is a pretty dark blue but my hair didn't have any blue in it after coloring and was just black with a tiny bit of blue stain on my scalp. This brand does color very well as long as you get the right amount of color for your hair length and thickness and make sure you use the right amount of developer. I bought 2 deep violet hair dyes. They work just fine, but I’m not sure why they’re called violet because the color is more of a wine red color. If you have long and sort of thick hair like me, you need at least 3 tubes. Luckily I had another purple hair dye (from a different brand) because 2 tubes only covered 2/3 of my hair.
