Package of six spring tension curtain rods are well finished and adjust easily. Made of two smooth metal tubes with no unsightly seams to catch on curtain fabric and a white plastic adapter to help move the curtain from the narrower rod to the thicker rod. The white finish is smooth with no unpainted spots. Each tension rod will adjust to a space between 16" to 28" by merely twisting one section of the rod. When they are just a little bit larger than the space, squeeze the strong spring inside the rod, place it in the correct spot, and gently release. The strong spring and plastic end caps hold it in place and the label states they can hold up between 3 to 7 pounds. The spring is very strong and needs a good strong grip to squeeze it to fit it into place. The diameter of the larger tube is 1/2". The smaller tube looks to be about 3/8".

I’m using these for two long and narrow windows that needed light blocking curtains. I wish more color options were available but the one I chose turned out looking better than I thought they would. They could be a little wider around (circumference-wise) but they do the job. Easy to use; basically you twist one side until it’s the width you need, and it’s an instant solution for hanging curtains. Since one rod half comes out from inside of the other, half the rod is thinner than the other half. The curtains I’m using are made of a heavier velvety material but they are supported nicely. All-in-all, these do their function.

Well made product. I used these as extra hanger storage, between my washer and the wall. The space was about 8” and the rods fit well. I was concerned they would come loose with the vibrations from the washer but so far they haven’t moved. Glad to have a place to hang extra hangers in a convenient location.

I used this as a wardrobe rod for my baby son’s hanging clothes. He’s learning to pull himself up on things and he chose the rod today. It held him and the clothes! Maybe it won’t hold someone who weighs more than 20 pounds, but if it could support that weight, then I’m more than happy.

Really great value! Rods are very thin, lightweight and not very sturdy. This will definitely work for my valances but if I ever decide move them or adjust them even slightly the rod will fall. Extremely easy to install! If you are like me and want something cheap that is simple to install, this is a very good option!

Small Spring Tension Curtain Rod. I'm using this rod in my kitchen cupboard to help hold my cookie sheets and baking pans upright. So far, they are holding up well - until you bump into them. They tend to fall over easily. They also untwist a bit when sliding them into place, often making them loose. I'm sure they work really well holding curtains in a small window space, but for the purpose I'm using them for, they're not perfect, but better than nothing. The spring inside must be very small because there's no 'give'.
